I've only used 2 since the very start, I'll be buggered if I'm paying for them

When I registered my own company, for some reason I got sent 1,000 boxes of LFT’s and in each box is 25 tests.

I’ve been giving them out locally to friends and family to anyone that needed any.

I’ve 8 boxes of 25 tests left. If anyone needs a box, just sort me a postage label from a courier of your choice and I’ll get a box sent off to you.

Good news, given the all clear after a check today, it looks like it was just an infection cleared up with a couple of weeks worth of antibiotics. Really impressed by the way the NHS handled this, rapid access for suspected cancer really means rapid access. From the initial GP nearby to Russell's Hall last week to Dudley Guest today, really impressed, all within two weeks.

You survived Russell's Hall, that in itself is quite the achievement :hehe:

Day 3 of Biryani is not going down well. Something terrible is occurring in my intestines, keeping me awake. At some point in the next few hours, I'm going to be very glad I bought some decent andrex bogroll to replace the cardboard "quilted" Lidl stuff.

I can’t rate Costco’s home brand poo tickets highly enough.

We've lived in the same flat for 8.5 years now, and finally there's an increase in base rent. It'll go from 990 to 1160 per month. Annoying, yes. Surprising, no. Still cheap compared to flats of similar size and quality in this area, definitely.

So, not ruining, but certainly annoying.

That’s crazy money on rent. You can buy a 3 bed semi round here for less than £35/40k.

A sponge on a stick was good enough for the Romans.

At that price I could buy 2 of them outright for the cost of a deposit on a 3 bed semi here

That's... honestly not that bad for rent. When we were still looking at renting another property, our budget was up to ~£1300 a month.

Moist toilet paper. It'll change your life.

Yeah no kidding, ~£45k is the amount we're planning to save just for a deposit...

The market is all over the place, we rent a 3 bed detached bungalow with garage, parking for 4 cars and gardens for £650, our daughter is moving out next month and paying £600 for a 2 bed terrace house.

Granted I live in a small backwater town with not a lot of options in terms of work outside minimum wage jobs. But if you wanted to get into the rental property game, it’s crazy good.

Return on investment going up and up each year, and with rising rents, that’s only going to get better.

We're living in one of the most expensive areas of Germany. Paying 10 Euros/sqm is dirt-cheap around here. The usual rate is about double that.

We want to build or buy a house on about 800 sqm of land. The absolute minimum for a house built in the 60s that you need to basically re-build and the property is 600k. That's a house with 80-100 sqm of living space and you will have to invest another 150-200k to get this up to modern standards. Building a house on a piece of land will be 750k upwards.
