I'll see your Percy Pig pyjamas and raise you some fuzzy Batman lounge trousers and comedically-sized burger slippers. So comformtable they're like a second skin, you'd have to prise them from my cold-dead fingers before I give them up.

Although Ricky Gervais can get in the f'in sea, can't stand that guy...

At the risk of being expelled from the community… I do not like slippers. Don’t care for them at all, won’t wear them. Give me bare feet or socks at the very most.

I am wearing SpongeBob socks today though in my defence.

I prefer massive comfy socks myself.

Do we have to form a support group?

Depends on the temperature... the colder it gets the thicker the socks. if its warm enough, bare feet.

I used to wear slippers, but since we got underfloor heating, i've stopped as it just cooks me.

Very much the same for both my wife and I. She prefers bare feet around the house, and I am socks or bare feet. Never been into slippers, had plenty over the years, but they just sit there, taking up space and never get worn.

I like a carpeted floor and good socks.

But I bought ~400€ of wood. Oak and pine.

For a bigger desk, a DVD/BR storage shelf, and a much larger TV stand. Because the TV stand will make the TV look small, and that will necessitate a much larger television while also not being that black glass and silver tube stand that seems to be a plague on the UK lounge.

This one's a teeny bit spendy...

£3500 for almost 1900W of a wind turbine being built in Scotland.
This gets me a fair chunk off my electric bill for the next 25 years, with a payback on my original investment of around 4 years.

Ripple Energy (referral code) if you want to play too.

This one is a bit snake oilish if you consider it doesn't really change the sound. However, as snake oil as they are you 100% need one if you are using an acrylic mat. Which I have.

In another episode of "doing the sensible thing", my office chair's gas lift had been on the fritz for a while, the ones at work aren't terribly great and getting a bit fed up I went chair hunting, and decided upon an RH Logic 400XL. Had a look around at all the refurb stores, found one with a few in stock between £300-400 and then bought £14 replacement gas lift. I couldn't get the old one off the seat though so did have to go and buy a plumbers wrench. Proper chonky boy too and got the job done in no time.

With my brother's birthday coming up I wanted to get him something really nice, as he's helped us out a lot over the last few years. Happened to get an email about the follow up to a book I bought him a few years back (The British Sniper, A Century of Evolution) was now available at a reduced price, including some prints of some artist or other featuring the book's subject matter

And a frame to put it in

I wanted to add a little personal touch, so I order this brass plaque on eBay for £14, after being quoted £250 from someone else that clearly didn't want to do it

Some of you may get the joke as you'll have probably played the game. :eyebrow:

I've got a tiny set that I used recently to remove some of the original gas lighting pipe from my house, they're actually pretty handy. I've a couple of 36" pairs that I've used in anger to remove ¾" water pipes too. Somewhere I have a foot long length with an elbow on it, looks like something out of Fallout 3.

Please stop showing me things I don't need but feel I now have to buy.

I bet that's on your mental list of 'things I need in a zombie apocalypse' and don't tell me you've never thought about it

Ridgid, they're very well made, you can run the jaw open and closed like an adjustable spanner, with good sharp teeth an the jaws. I think I paid a score for them but they're not only a pleasure to use, but pretty entertaining as they're just so tiny.

The pipe is very apocalypse, yes.
