It actually has adaptive EDID/HDCP which is great. So far no issues I only run 1080p so it "should" behave.
Fun feature, it has a keyboard shortcut to swap devices, which is very nice.

There we, go, all case files 01-20 owned now. Currently actually halfway through 09, though after 10, the pages per case file drop considerably as it goes from black and white to colour.

Latest one. Can't wait for 40 to hit.

Read this early this morning before getting out of bed. Cracking sequel, that also contains the first volume (i.e. the one I bought previously). Also has Batman and Superman vs Aliens and Predators, and one at the end which features what I think is an offshoot of Justice League.

A week in an isolated cottage in Cornwall for less than 500 quid (got to love the prices during term time)

Picked up a eVGA RTX 3080 12GB Cheesecake Ultra a few weeks ago, finally got around to installing it.
Figured I may as well go for the upgrade while they're in stock rather than bank on availability in the future.

Also grabbing a 22U Sysracks 32" deep 4-post rack. finally moving from a wall-mount to something that should hold stuff long-term. (I said that last time too)

    Bought some new solder flux.

Had to do a spot of soldering recently but I either completely run out of flux or I decided to store it "somewhere safe" and nowhere near the rest of my soldering gear. Natch, I tried to freestyle it and things... happened. Everything got far too hot because the contacts I needed to solder were rather chunky, and a wee bit oxidised, and it took waaaay to long to get up to temp; resulting the the plastic housing softening and falling off the bench, which I instinctively grabbed at with my bare hand.

That was nearly two weeks ago.

The blisters and soreness have gone away now.

Acer Predator X34, I always had intended on replacing my Samsung G9 at some point and I think 34 was the perfect size for productivity while keeping to a single monitor. Got a good deal for it on eBay that I couldn't pass up

Sure, I'll do that when I have time. How does 2038 sound?

Dredd looks like he's in the middle of either...

    a) being told an awkward story involving barbed wire and a scrotom
    b) having a dump
    c) all of the above

My order has gone from Q2 to Q3. And I’m now wondering whether to bother going through with it, or wait for V2

Well, Q3 is about 6 weeks away. And V2 will probably arrive in Q2 of 2023, if they want to make a lot of people unhappy.

Looking at the rumour mill for handheld gaming machines in the last few years, it seems to provide release dates about 1.5 years earlier than reality. At least on average.

I'm waiting for the thing to become a little more.. Long in the tooth before I hop on it.

I love the notion, but I still distinctly remember the Steam Controller an the Steam Link devices they coughed out and almost immediately forgot about.
