iPad pro case - 'cos I'm bound to drop it at some point...

1TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD - after returning the BX500 I bought in error....

16GB CF Card - new HDD for an Amiga A600

44-pin IDE to CF adapter - for the aforementioned A600...

CF card reader - because after scrabbling around for an hour or so I realised I'd listened to my other half and her weird "throw out the stuff you're not using!" ideas... See? See?! This is why I don't do things like that!! I might not touch it for ages, but when I need The Widget there is absolutely no substitute and I'll end up having to buy The Widget again because I threw the last bloody one away!!!

    Herr Crappy's "tripod"

EDIT: Oh, and while I'm on the subject of "Don't throw away stuff that might be useful," I threw away a 2.5" IDE HDD not so long ago because who the hell needs a 2.5" IDE HDD these days? Could've bloody used that in the A600, couldn't I.... :wallbash: That one's on me though, can't blame the other half for that!

Step up to safety razors. Way cheaper, blades I use are £7.99 for 100 pack and you'll get 2-3 shaves out of each

We bought a few of the TESmart ones for work, to begin with, they are great but if you use them a lot they do start to fail (channels and ports start to give up)
We looked into quite a few models, and the TESmart was the cheapest, outside of this, we weren't happy spending £400 (I mean £400 for a 4-way USB switch??)

Did you look at Aten, by any chance? Just thinking that if it's for standard office gear, then they do USB/VGA switches that are decent. I've been using one for years, but do have to hook the games machine direct to one display via DP as it has G-Sync, which won't obviously go through the switch.

We'll I hope yours fares better than mine, because the power supply in it popped . Seller's agreed to take it back, but it's gonna be a bugger to pack up.

That's Case Files up to (and including, don't want to have confusion as per The Thick of It) 25. Also:

Read them...and they're effing fantastic. Better than Batman vs Aliens. To make things even sweeter, there were also adverts for PS2 games and...Freelancer. NOSTALGIA! Ahh, simpler times...

An Xbox wireless controller (at the 4th attempt! They're in short supply around here).
Just the bog standard black one, not the Elite.

It works perfectly when gaming on Linux, just pair over bluetooth, just like Windows.

After trying the local Asda, Argos & Currys to no avail on Sunday, the Currys staffer I spoke to sent me to the Tesco across the road. £55

New:- Crucial MX500 4TB SATA SSD for £258 instead of £353 from the Crucial store on Amazon. That'll do for a Steam drive.

Yeah, I'm keeping an eye out for 4tb deals. Though, by the time they're around £200 each, I'll be looking for 8tb models

Yeah, it's a slow burn and only gets one or two folk a year, but it's incredibly satisfying when it happens. :naughty:
