Think of it this way - The bracket is gonna be chilling out and not gurning like a pro holding a TV to your wall

Which, were it sentient, might encourage it to do a better job

Was going to post in ruining but it came right in the end so... lets try be positive ey?

Spent 30 minutes phoning a credit card to get a very quiet mumbling man. I asked him what I felt was a straightforward question.
Agent: "Errr okay... umm... let me just..." *Call ends*

Tried again, 23 minutes later a very eloquent lady answered. She sounded like she knew exactly what she was doing! overly confident at this stage... she said it was the wrong number but she'd put me through.
Agent: "No problem sir, I shall put you on hold for just a brief second!"
*Instant return to first options screen*

43 minutes later *connecting tone* to be cut off at the VERY LAST MOMENT

A glutton for punishment I tried a few more times with each one sending me through to an answerphone, I was starting to feel it be easier to stop paying my card and wait for them to call me.

Then out of nowhere... tried one last call. went through within 60 seconds and the guy was helpful. He didn't transfer the call (same number) and all was well in the world.

    Fin.

I mentioned petrichor on this very forum, only last week...

Don't often smell it but, is nice when I do.

The word was first used in the year of my birth, 1964.

Very productive day, having more of them more frequently as of late.

When I started this role ~16 months ago I had way more “This was a terrible career choice” days, but I knew in time they’d get better and I’d get more comfortable leading people over being led.

    Confidence levels increasing,

Got great feedback at work this week. From clients and from my bosses. Kind of makes the stupendous hours and hard work seem a little less painful.

Installed Adobe Acrobat 2.0 in Windows for Workgroups, which before you say anything is an entirely reasonable thing to be doing in 2022, and it broke Adobe Type Manager 3.0.

    adobe.jpg

Went up to 3.01, which fixed it for exactly one reboot. 3.02 seems to have done the trick, tho'!

Finally have my PC back online after three days of teardowns, rebuilds, and chasing down non-existent faults... And it's in a shiny "new*" Corsair 5000D Airflow case.

Had to give it All The Fans though - can't get my 360mm AIO into the roof of the case, so it's got to go in the front with the fans in a "pull" configuration... meaning that it risks choking off airlow to the toastyboi 3070Ti, so I've had to utilise the fan mounts near the motherboard tray in order to make sure that at least some fresh cool air gets in there... Ended up with three "pull" intakes for the AIO in the front, two 120mm intakes on the side panel, two 120mm exhausts in the roof, and one 120mm exhaust to the rear. Don't think it's made that much difference to temps overall, but this case is so much easier to keep clean and so much nicer to work in.

*OK it's not new since I actually bought it a year ago, but it's been my OH's case up until now.

Doesn't seem like a good way to be accepted by the locals, move in, insult them ... then say they're nasty for not liking you. Par for the course with christianity then I suppose.

I saw a picture of the Pope with the war bonnet on, thought that might be a bit controversial.

All up and running in the new H510 Flow. Loving the blackout look and the relative silence (all Noctua fans / CPU cooled by NH-D14).

Really liked that case when I reviewed it. As did Mrs crap, who insisted I not sell it. :hehe:

After what is now probably months, hundreds of hours planning and searching and deciding, today, our kitchen transformation started. Found some old wall paper that I'm sure we had in our bathroom in the 80's
    PXL_20220801_163850568.jpg

It has already provided many materials for shed renovations and the old stainless sandwich splashback will make excellent material for the mod. Now we just have to cope with horrid mess and severe lack of space for a few weeks. The cats are both intrigued and terrified. :hehe:

Had an unexpected parcel arrive last night. Something the wife ordered 2 years ago (a replacement was sent at the time). Hooray for Parcel Force and their 24 month delivery service. Just the thing to brighten an evening.

That adds a WHOLE new level to Parcelforce 24!
That's even worse than my friend who's notoriously slow at doing printing and cut vinyl at mates rates, we refer to him having a same year service!
