    I was indeed.
I've not heard of this before, What do you think of it compared to something like home assistant? With the new house purchase (pending the sellers find a house) I'm planning on integrating it all with home assistant along with a build log on the forums.

I think it's a great system, though it is also catastrophically expensive and there is some element of dealer control, sorta. Basically the dealer you use is very important depending on what sort of experience you want.

Whilst it can fill all the same use cases as Home Assistant and a lot more, I wouldn't say it's like-for-like simply due to those two points.

I’m planning to pick up some mint or banana switches for this, but right now it just has the Keychron browns. I’m using it to type right now, and it’s… odd… The Mac layout is one thing (using it on an iPad so Mac layout makes sense), but the low-profle caps just feel… strange… compared to my “proper sized” K8.

Indeed, if it was only the RGB then I’d be using OpenRGB already. But you also need iCUE/Synapse for things like DPI adjustment, remapping buttons, etc. Hence why I really don’t want Synapse as well as iCUE - I already need iCUE to control features on my headset.

That's a strange looking fish, regardless of where you plan to put it.

After our cheap £20 indoor cameras saved us from the bus hit and run the other day, giving us the exact time and some CCTV it was time for an upgrade. I bought the double pack however, after installing one it’s amazing how much one camera actually captures, so now I have a spare…

    If I may ask:
    • do you have the indoor one pointing out towards the front of the house through a window or similar?
    • how much do you worry that (or do you even care?!) the Big G is farming your data?

You may, I had two Neos SmartCams pointing out the window towards the front of the garden which I can’t fault actually, they did the job just not in as good quality as I’d like.

As for Google farming my data, I actually couldn’t give two hoots.

Ahhh HLJ. Many a theoretical pound spent there.

OT, my sub is dying so I bought a new one.

    Nothing fancy, really, Klipsch R-121SW.

I also treated myself to a new centre as well, also nothing too fancy, Klipsch RP-404C.

I thought about the RP-8000F's too but I didn't fancy adding another ~1300 to the bill.
