does anybody know if o2 do the delivery reports? i just got a new phone today and new sim (o2) and i set the delivery reports to on but i only get a message saying "pending" but when i stick my orange sim in the same phone i get both "pending" and "delivered" messages.
Omg, no delivery reports. Every other network does them. i think ill just be stickin my orange sim in the phone
Kept the same Orange PAYG sim... Old phone : 3210e - Could get delivery reports. New phone : 7250i - Delivery reports supported but option just isn't there in the menu (according to the manual it should be). Is it possible Orange has customised the software of the phone or something? My flatmates on O2, he can't get delivery reports (network doesn't support them apparently - like Vixen said).
O2 dont do delivery reports as vixen said, which sucks muchly... however if you add *0# in front of the message you will get a delivery report....
yes, mine says that but then i just get the "pending" msg and thats it, even when i know its been delivered (other phone next to me )
RTT: when I got my first O2 phone a few years ago I went into the O2 shop (maybe still BT then actually) and they said that they definately don't support delivery reports. Carbon: You do get used to it, honestly!!!
when i send a text i always get a 'report' saying 'message pending delivery'. whether that means delivered or what, i dunno then
That would mean you get the pending, but not the delivered. That really does suck. I'm so pleased I got my boyfriend away from O2. They were a nightmare, his texts used to take days to get to me.
the not gettign confirmation would drive me up the wall as my brother is out at sea so does not alwasy ahve mobile acess so it helps when we get a message reviced thing so we know he got the latest news from home /me strokes t-mobile
TBH ive been on o2 and orange and i personally think after 2 1/2 years with orange o2 are soo much better!
O2 try to get round not allowing them, however.... Add *0# infront of your text message and as if by magic Bit of a pain however you could make a message template with this already in.
Ahhh, I always thought o2 meant 'delivered' by 'pending' Stupid o2. I noticed the other day that they have increased the PAYG text price to 12p, too. Though it's probably been like that for months and I just haven't noticed.
