Weird choice of cable covering but makes it all the more interesting. Maybe vinyl dye it black? oooooor.. you could pait it in some UV colours and get a nice UV cathode? Cant wait to see it all done up in black! Good luck
but it makes a lot of noice , but is there a way to get from 7000 rpm to 3000rpm or higher , lower ???
You mean you got a new hairdryer. I had one of those things for about 2 months until the noise drove me absolutely nuts. Then I got an alpha PAL8045 and my ears said 'thanky!' Good work so far, the "Cyclops" name is cool. Stick with it, and you could easily construct a theme around it.
The speed reduction can be accomplished with some sort of baybus like a rheobus, diode bus, or PWM fan cotroller. Just search in the electronics forum, those guys have thousads of ways to control the speed of the fan. The quicker way to reduce the speed without a baybus is to give the fan 7 volts instead of 12. This is done by connecting the negative line of the fan to the 5 volt line on your computer and the positive line of the fan to the 12 volt line of the computer. As for the case, I've never been a fan of the moulded floppy slot in the front. You could try covering it, or using it for somthing more interesting.
i want to stick with the "Cyclops" name , but i want to buy a baybus. so i can manage the CPU cooler. srry no updates yet.
the blue led's on the chipset fan go pretty well with the green! can you give me a link for that fan controller? that looks pretty sweet, perhaps mod that black / beige to go with the rest of the case?
i am going to paint it black , but thats someting for over a few months. for the site : go to www.zalmanusa.com
after a long time , some new pics. but no updates on the case but i have a new screen here are the pics my case and screen Only The Screen
c'mon you call that a mod? everybody can do that... but not anybody kan do a paintjob on their computer, paint it in the color you want an do another window, and the cable wiring
i am going to paint it , when i have the time. btw , this is the first time i try to do someting like this so i am not as good as you or somebody els , but i try , and i have a lot to learn , and i will do that , but just give me a chance. and btw : its overclock and not overklokk
WOW nice screen...wish i had some money so i could buy a LCD screen. Like the window...but yeah you definently need to paint it....i mean beige...ahhhhhhh...yeah if you are goign to go with that green than i would suggest painting the case gloss black. Love the green cathode!!!!! Looks great!!!
Welp, I personaly like what you've done, people like NexteR don't know what they are talking about. You've done good for your first mod. Wish I had been able to drill a hole that nice when I first started! (hell, wish I could drill that nice now!) Now that you have your dvd-rom, where did you mount the flip switch?
