Cant wait to see it all done up in black!
    Good luck

:eeek: You mean you got a new hairdryer. I had one of those things for about 2 months until the noise drove me absolutely nuts. Then I got an alpha PAL8045 and my ears said 'thanky!'

Good work so far, the "Cyclops" name is cool. Stick with it, and you could easily construct a theme around it.

The speed reduction can be accomplished with some sort of baybus like a rheobus, diode bus, or PWM fan cotroller. Just search in the electronics forum, those guys have thousads of ways to control the speed of the fan.

The quicker way to reduce the speed without a baybus is to give the fan 7 volts instead of 12. This is done by connecting the negative line of the fan to the 5 volt line on your computer and the positive line of the fan to the 12 volt line of the computer.

As for the case, I've never been a fan of the moulded floppy slot in the front. You could try covering it, or using it for somthing more interesting.

the blue led's on the chipset fan go pretty well with the green!

can you give me a link for that fan controller? that looks pretty sweet, perhaps mod that black / beige to go with the rest of the case?

Welp, I personaly like what you've done, people like NexteR don't know what they are talking about. You've done good for your first mod. Wish I had been able to drill a hole that nice when I first started! (hell, wish I could drill that nice now!) Now that you have your dvd-rom, where did you mount the flip switch?
