Alright, I've had enough of this cold weather... When does Spring begin!? This is from my Accuweather Forcast (may obviously be different if you click on it): Those temps are in fahrenheit, not metric folks. In metric, the temp now is -24.4º. The windchill is at -25ºf/-32ºc Needless to say, my poor car had a REAL tough time this morning.
haha..yeah..it's pretty cool here right now.. Today Jan 09 Cloudy 32°/12° Sat Jan 10 Sunny 22°/10° Sun Jan 11 Mostly Sunny 31°/28° Mon Jan 12 Partly Cloudy / Wind 41°/29° Tue Jan 13 Partly Cloudy 34°/14° Wed Jan 14 Partly Cloudy 24°/15° Thu Jan 15 Few Snow Showers 21°/8° Fri Jan 16 Partly Cloudy 27°/10° Sat Jan 17 Partly Cloudy 29°/17° Sun Jan 18 Partly Cloudy 31°/18° This is baltimore maryland, by the way.. Let's bring back the old hurricane map to show yall over the pond..
We had frost yesterday! The highs have been in the upper 50's or lower 60's. I'm thinking about taking the boat out this weekend. I'll be thinkin' bout y'all.
Wow, those temps are really something ! My winter is a Mediterranean one ( these days the min is -4c). Yet I prefer cold weather to hot summers (like the last one )
Thank god it wasn't that windy here or it would have been that cold ; Pff. No fun. I actually don't mind it like this too much. Yea, it can be a pain when the car refuses to start easilly. That's the main reason I like it in this part of the country - it can get frigid / snowey in the winter and hot / humid as hell in the summer. Maybe not hot all the time, but it has been above 100ºf many times. Other parts of the country are just boring. ::EDIT:: Just checked and it's still -3 outside - it's 1:30pm now which is supposed to be the warmest part of the day
Lets note; Dad might think hes cold; but; I must claim, I am just as cold, if not colder. Lets goto the map. if you notice the small red dot in western new york; that is where I live -- right near the lake, providing for a nice lake effect snow every night . But no, that does not mean I am colder; for the lake keeps tempatures slightly warmer then more inland. But if you may, please direct your attention to the cyan dot. That is where I drive every morning for college, to get my nice education. What is very nice is the fact that the campus (RIT if anyone is interested) - was built for arizona (ie; warm place) -- -so it is intentionally built to create wind tunnells. With that being said -- I drive in the several inches of snow each morning to goto the wind tunnel i call school, where at, even snot is ice by the time it comes out. Beat that. :edit: the high today was 3 deg F... -16.11111111111111 C for you metric guys.
Beat that? Okay... See where the dot says "Dad"? Well, we get hit with the brunt of lake effect, I drive to nearly the PA state line to go to work and it's still -3 outside
Wow dogg, it must take you HOURS to get to school. That dot must be at least many miles south of where you live. edit: actually not knowing how big that state is im not gonna make a tit of myself and gues a number, but im assuming america's huge compared to UK.
[sidenote]You work near elmira right? [/sidenote] hey; what really is kinda funny.. Sat Jan 10 Snow 8°/3° 70 % Sun Jan 11 Light Snow 30°/29° 60 % Mon Jan 12 Snow 35°/-1° 60 % Tue Jan 13 Snow Shower 10°/0° 50 % Wed Jan 14 Snow Shower 8°/-2° 40 % Thu Jan 15 Few Snow Showers 8°/-2° 30 % it teases us on sunday --- how rude. but yes-- but I don't think many others 'cept you and me experience this kinda cold --- unless they live up north
