Im currently working on a major update, i have a few more things to do before i can post it. I have been struck by every modders nightmare, The extremely boring "sitting around waiting for parts" syndrome I also had to do a new Swedish version of my worklog since ive entered my project in the Swedish Modding Championship (wish me luck ) so that has taken some time. But ill try to have an update ready by this weekend.
--==UPDATE==-- Ive finished the junctionbox and fancontroller after a lot of hard work with hoses and cables. its finally done all i have to do now is fit them inside the case (the work never ends) Heres a picture of the junctionbox with the cables for the drives, psu and fancontroller. Heres a little picture of my 10channel fancontroller And ofcourse a nightshot on the back of the contoller ive used 5mm silicone tubing for the fancables you can also see the cable that is comming from the junctionbox. Thats all ive got for yall for now but ill try and get the boxes mounted within the next few days and Guess What!!! There will be more pictures then
That is some real nice work with the junction box and fan controller. I really like the idea of one color of cables running through the tubing. Keep up the great work. Oh... BTW Good luck with the modding competion...
I actually dont know how much the acrylic would cost since i bought mine from a friend i have paid 600sek for 2,5 m2 8mm acrylic, but in a store in Sweden you would have to pay somwere around 1500sek per m2. i havent got any exact prices but i know that 8mm acrylic is bloddy expensive to buy in Sweden.
Sorry but the server where i got my pictures appears to be down, but it should not be down for more than a couple of hours. Sorry! :/ Server back online!!!
erm... its a really nice way of tidying wires, it makes putting the comp together and pulling it apart much easier. In an acrylic case, cable management is a nightmare, so this is a good way to do it.
That is a bit strange question to ask in a mod forum but ill try and answer it anyway Since powercables are ugly as sin i had to make them look better. And since i used pvc tubes to run new wires thorugh it was impossible to attatch them to the psu itself because its already filled with wiring. therfore a box was the only way. The box makes everything neat and tidy, it also hides the drivers for my CCD´s and lazerleds. Wiring is always a big issue with plexicases and bad wiring could completely ruin the look of the case. There are no technical advantages with the box (atleast not in my case) its all about looks, hope that cleared things up a bit. /I mod therefore i am!!! btw tonight ill post pictures of my demon engraving completely done with uv paint and all in its full glowing glory
--==Small update==-- Ive finally finished the Demon sidepanel today!! Filling in the etching with uv-paint turned out to be one of the most boring things ive ever done :/ But it was worth it!! So heres a few pictures of how it turned out. In daytime it looks just like a straight forward etching. But when night falls The Demon awakens!!! mouhahahaaaaa /When all else fails! MOD ON!!
