    Now on to the lighting,

I knocked up a simple parraell circuit , with sockets so i can change the leds easally if i want to.

    Another update

Glued the circuit board down and cut all the wires to size, need to solder the switch and the LEDs tomorow.

the switch is at the back for the lights, simple slide switch.

there might not be as many up dates this week due to college work.

Looking good. I'm not sure why, but I always like those small alu boxes you guys over there use to make small computers..

Just one Q though.. What are those holes by the circuit board for? Anything special?

Thank you yup we like small computers :p

the holes are because it is strip board (used for proto typing), copper tracks, where the tracks were not being used i sanded them back to just the board,

    Cheers

I think you're gonna have to use a couple of cathodes?

Ebuyer is very cheap. Is there space for 12" ones? :worried:

Hmm, major arse! Have you tried those laser led things (again from ebuyer) or the ones that are designed for car interiors? Might give a better light?

The lazer-leds (aka ultrabrights) are EXTREMELY bright. :eeek:
However, if you give them a fix with some 1200grit sandingpaper , they'll have a nice, even glow. :)

I just hope they don't draw as much power as the cathode inverter

otherwise it will reset every time

yeah i'll sand em abit if they do
