    Yes there is...

But, nothing has been finalized with the software or with a wiring diagram.

    Check it out.. Liquid MP3

    Henri,
I have and old 3110 will the lcd still work with the pc and is the wiring the same as in 3310 or like in 5110. Is the circuit the same or different. And when will you are going to make the drivers for these lcds ?

I don't know what display is in 3110 but the driver I made works with 84x48 pixel displays with PCD8544 controller. The wiring should be pretty much the same for all of them but you should find out the pinout for your display and check to make sure it's the same. I have only worked with the 8 pin 3310 display.

Which lcds are you referring to ? I have already done a driver for PCD8544 that you can see in action in the picture. The driver is not yet finished but if someone wires a display and wishes to test it you can ask me for the latest version. When it's finished it will be included in the normal LCDInfo package.

dunno.. you could try sticking an led behind the bare lcd, if it works and u can see the led behind it, then should be good for backlighting with an el sheet.. let me know how u go...

Looks like the backlight in the cell is just a bunch of leds... so I guess it might work!

But relax... I've never done any modding before, and before I'll try this, I'm going to make a lcd monitor out of a laptop... wich looks like it may take a lifetime... but before that... I need a new computer!

    Patiens my son, patiens! :D

Problem is the controller for a laptop LCD makes it more expensive that just getting a LCD for your PC.
