What's the most money you've ever put into any case or case mod of yours? This includes making one from scratch, etc.. I'm thinking about making an awesome case in the next 2-3 years that will cost around $500.
By case, do you not include cooling, wiring, modified components, etc? If so, the most I've spent so far would be about 100 bucks, and most of that was just because it was my first case and I had to get the tools, etc. Brings back good memories.
well if everything counts, then its more like "how muich does your PC cost?" i spent around $400(AUS) over the last year and a bit and my hardware isn't uber special and about $300(AUS) on the case, lights/leds, fans, fan controller, tubing, wires, other bits
Well If you include the Cost of the case it's self then Case - $350AUS (Lian-li PC70) CCFL - $ 60AUS 3x 30cm Blue CCFL Fans - $ 20AUS 6x 80mm Fans Acrylic - $100AUS Lot's of it for mistakes etc. Time - $Say 40Hrs @ $15/hr so $600 (My time cost me money and the case took three full day's to build so all up $1130 and I'm pretty happy with it.
wow my current project is balloning way more then expected, check my sig Grc9-178$ Am 598u-$80 plexi-$20 connectors (bidding on)~40$ slim line slot loading drive (hafta buy a slim line for this case, wouldn't normally get one) ~120$ LEds ~30$ (not all will be used for case tho) grc-9 bags~40 paint~10$ fans ~20$ internal connectors ~30$ $~576 well luckily I have a job at the local grocery store, and this is where all my money is going. I make about that every 1.5 months, but stilll thats a lot of cart pushing and bagging. not to mention the 700$ on a new system and the 170$ on water cooling This thing is balloning, its the small stuff that gets you like all the internal connectors I'm gonna hafta use, d-sub headers, ps2-usb convertes, random lil trinkets, cables, fans, building materials etc.
