Just a question but what are the exact size of those rivets? Steel or aluminum as well?

When I've worked with those cases, I've used 1/8" rivets with a 1/8" grip range. Also, usually you use rivets made of the same material as what you're rivetting together.

Thanks for all the positive notes on this one

I am still in a hold patern with this one as it is taking longer at the Pintshop then i had planned for but i will be starting on some of the other stuff this week as i have the powersupply and such to get done as well.

I will post some pics and design ideas on this one once i get a little further in and have my camera up and running again.

Just a question, did you get the door/top/bottom chromed? I've been pricing chrome and its damn expensive, Best quote I've gotten so far is 100-200$.

I didn't get the bottom or top done as it will be painted and should be back this week damn painters take so long to do anything.

Oh well thats the way it goes the chroming cost $200 so the quotes you have been getting are about right the biggest thing to ask is if it will be poloshed chorme which this is or just chormed which while shiny does not have the mirror finish

So we will be doing more updates on this on soon with any luck.

Seems all my Projects have ended up on hold this past month lots of customer comps coming in that need work now and had to upgrade the cooling on a couple so been crazy.

but that is it for now more later

I've just had my case chromed for a second time, don't worship the god of price too blindly. A lot of the quality of your chrome work is in the polishing done before hand. It's definately worth paying extra for higher quality work. The thing with polishing is that it's labour intensive, and labour costs money...

Well not to sure what is going to happen to this project it appears the guy that was doing this has run out of money or motivation not sure which but will be getting the panels back from the painter. but for now this project is stalled

wow, that sucks...but what is your job that there are all of these customers comps that need repair...??? but i think you should chip in a couple more bucks...and finish it up...then sell it to one of your "customers..."

    I am Back

Went through a bunch of things here lately was working on buying the cafe that i have been running for a while and this project got sidelined because of the owner but i have decided to finish this one myself so got a case and am about to send it to the chorme shop to get done so this project will be starting up again soon.

Have a big tournement coming up in the area and want to have at least 5 cases to take so have my work cut out for me.

But this one is going to go ahead just as planned.
