hey my sister is going to New York in May (I think) and I need a 256mb compact flash card and a IDE to CF convertor. For my PC router 1 would these be cheaper in the US. 2 what shops are there on the street? That I can have a look at prices on thanks
if you can find one, fry's is a good store too... its HUGE like HUGE has lots of discount prices... too... so if you can find one, go there
I can't tell you about the convertor. If she happens to know someone in America with a Costco Card, it's the best I have found for DigiCam memory or flash cards... Sandisk now have a 256mb for $64.00 US at Costco..I pay about $100.00 Canadian for my SD Memory 256mb, thats about $75.00 US. Best Buy or Future Shop is about $10.00 more.
*cough*From the New Egg site *cough* Does Newegg.com ship internationally? Newegg.com does not ship internationally. At this time we only ship within the United States and Puerto Rico. Whilst we're on this subject, does anyone know any decent US retailers that do ship to the UK? With the exchange rate being so good, stuff is pretty much half price in the US compared to the UK. Even with shipping and getting stung for import duty you'll be quids in!
That is what I was getting at. While in New York she could order from www.newegg.com and it would only take maybe 3 days at most to recieve something.
New Egg is in California. I find that it takes them 4-5 days to send something. Well thats assuming you do the free shipping. My dad bought a flash card recently from newegg and was very happy with it (and the price).
Correction whales: Newegg has warehouses in CA and NJ. Hell, with a rush order, she might be able to get it the next day. Newegg is basically the only place you want to order online. While she's there, she should look at the Sunday flyers for Best Buy, Circuit City and CompUSA, as often times they have rebate offers that reduce the price below what you'll find on the internet.
newegg do 2nd day priority and overnight also ... and thier/fedex's 2day prices rival most places ground frieght prices. i will never order from anywhere else. amen.
Yes, their shipping prices are rather cheap too, especially on the Free Super Saver items (duh). A bit of an addendum to my previous post: last order from Newegg was for a M-Audio Revolution 7.1 (bday gift for me) and a Antec Sonata case (for my dad to replace the bastrard AT/ATX case that's 5ft. tall). Card came from CA, case from NJ. Both showed up on the same day (ordered on a Wed, recieved on Mon.) here in WA.
Another vote for newegg from me. I've probably spent between 3 and 4 grand there over the last few years, both business and personal. I think I've pimped them so much that you all are starting to catch on As for memory cards, check newegg first, then compare to prices at Walmart or Sams (if you have a membership card.) Newegg is likely to be much cheaper.
Is that new? It's been almost quite a while since I have ordered something but I could swear it came from CA. The FEDEX saver shipping option is nice - often makes the shipping free.
