done a bit of research into this, but i cant decide what to do. should i go for a 2500+ barton or 2600 t'bird, or maybe a 2600+ barton. is clock speed beter than cache is what i am asking
well the barton 2500+ is 1.830 and the 2600+ tbred is 2.130. you won't see the difference. the barton 2500+ is known as a good overclocker and people tends to use it due to his 333 fsb and 512k cache. presonally I would take the barton 2500+ cause you can easily overclock it to 2.4-2.5.
The bartons in general are much nicer. If youre overclocking then look for an unlocked one second hand.
get the barton, more cache = more performance, and they've been clocking to similar speeds as a Tbred B...
2500 will prb be better... with some 3200 ram almost all do 3200 speeds on stock voltage.. simply increase the FSB to 200 and voila.
one thing about overclocking, i guess that i will end up getting one of these super locked bartons, has anyone found a way of unlocking it yet??? the only method i saw was to join one chach together and to break another appart. are all amd pocessors now locked in the same way (unless u get a unlcoked one)
