IT says you can connect it through AV in, i have AV out on my GFX card, is it just the standard RCA/Phono plug, i assume so, if so i will be buying one very very soon.

great idea you've had! do you think it would be possible to wire more than one of these in to one vid card? with a bit of fiber glass moulding you'd be able to place it pretty much any where on the case, maybe like a couple of wing mirrors on the side of a monitor displaying different movings graphics.

What happens when you play a game, does it blank out or act as an extended or duplicate screen?

yea, but the quality is far more superior with VGA

LOL, that would be presuming that i don't have a life :eyebrow:
your probably looking at mid-week next week...dont worry, itll be worth it ;)

havn';t tried games, but i presume that it wouldn't be too great as it doesn't use any 3D acceleration whatsoever.

I would have thought the vga card would be doing the processing and only send the signal to the screen?

i dont think it could handle that much, i do get a smooth video stream when playing movies and music videos, but id imagine any kind of 3D accelerated environment (especially OpenGL) would definately lag, after all, it does have a low refresh rate which will be discussed in my tutorial that i will definately be sure to tell you when its up, or check back at the site every so often to see for yourself.

Thinking back I remember OpenGL doesn't work using multiple moniotors (AGP+PCI) at least under windows I think it does in linux.

Look forward to the tutorial, and have my 30 quid ready :hehe:

Do you think your tutorial could be used to connect to onboard graphics or will it only work from a vga card

I just bought a Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT card.

one VGA and one DVI connection...

will the LCD take my VGA port, or can I use a converter from DVI to VGA and then to the VGA on the PC1 LCD?

VGA is the standard 15pin monitor connecter, whether it be onboard or a peripheral it will work both ways, although then you'd be using it as your main monitor?

i may have the tutorial done sooner than i thought, stay tuned ;)

    i'll post it again!
for those of u in the UK on amazon someone is selling PSONE voyager 5" LCD screens for £20!
they have composite in, so if u have composite out or Svidio out + svideo to composite, its the easiest thing to set up :)
I got one, and a few of my mates got em too, they're damn nice :)
just do a search for "voyager psone"

no tutorial really required, no soldering or modding to do, just plug it in, turn on dual view and it works :p
they come with a car adapter that you can mod to get the correct voltage + Amps from, wasn't hard for me to do , and i'm a tard :)
