    work in progress

I just started breaking my head in search of better ways to eliminate L shape fittings on my rig, Also i be adding a video card water block .

Any link to stores that have something better than L-shape fittings will be apreciated :thumb:

    work in progress:

One of the things I didn’t wanted to use before on my computer was copper tubing, I had seen some rigs on the forums and I just didn’t like the looks. After a week of thinking I decided to try something different, since 90˚ pipe elbows seems like a good idea to eliminate some of the L-fittings I got on my rig. After a second look at my pluming I decided to eliminate some of my original ideas and replace sections of the pluming with copper lines, this way I can achieve the same goals with less tubing. Here are my first parts I constructed, after soldering, primer and painting with metallic blue to match my rads. :brrr:

This weekend I will drain the computer to update pluming.

Next upgrade: external power supply to the pump, dc speed motor controler and voltimeter read out for power going to the pump :thumb:

I know looks are very important and yours looks great.can you post temps after you install all those fittings ? I am betting the temps go up. Also what are the pump specs on that pump you use ? It is 12v right ?

This is the CM30P7-1 12v dc pump, is not completly silent (beware). I am runing it at this moment directly from the power supply. On my next project i am going to implement an 12vdc 5 amp transformer with a DC motor speed controler and then i will post my tweaking results :D

Everything that goes into the pluming upgrade is going to be better that what i have (trust me) , I am geting rid of all L-shape fittings and the t-fitting that you cant see on the pictures, i will like to see temperature improvement, but i really happy with the current temperatures (38c idle-42c load).

Follow this link and look on the average temperatures on my motherboard:

Official update for the P4 motherboards temp issue
    IC7 MAX3 Temerature survey

The MCP600 Rev 2 is what is being sold. The issue was a impeller problem and it has been corrected. There is a 2 year warranty on it,I have to say just holding it in your hand is impressive. It is heavy yet compact. In my opinion for a 12v pump this has no competition.................And Swiftech is an very easy to deal with,It took only a few complaints for them to review and UPDATE there product and even sent a short term fix to people untill the Redesigned the Impeller part of the pump.

All in All the pump and the company are outstanding.
Here is a pic of it:

Thanks diehrd, nice case you got there, i may take your advice and get that pump after all (my pump is noisy and that is driving me crazzy), the only concern i have is the noise, is that pump silent?

I agree but he has a very restrictive flow in that system and he uses a pump that is unknown..He is more into the looks I think which is just as cool as getting the lowest temps, as long as it cools decient and it does.

Yeap!, first time i turn on my computer and double click on the ABIT HQ to read the temps i did this ( :wallbash: ), and then i whent around the block screaming like crazzy.

    then i found this:

    1) My Motherboard display the temperatures ( 8c-12c) above the real temp:
Official update for the P4 motherboards temp issue
    IC7 MAX3 Temerature survey

    2) You can't compare AMD CPU temps with P4 temps at 800 Mgz fsb runing at 3Ghz

    3) Like diehrd and others allready told me, because i have a bunch of L-shape fittings, is creating restriction on my system (working at the moment on this), also my pump is tranfering heat to the water and is making a lot of noise :duh: ( i just order the pump replacement but i wanted to be a surprice :D )

This weekend i work from saturday 12:00pm to sunday 7:00 am just upgrading the tubing :eeek: (i had a leak at 3:00 am) and there still a lot of work to be done. Good news, i save a bunck of money switching to Geeco :D . Also, after improvements , finnaly the acua- tube reservior is collecting the air , no more air hidding on my Rads :thumb: ,And bleeding my computer only took me 10 minutes.

I will be soon posting new pictures of my computer Black Box v4.2 (if i dont burn it first :worried: )

P.S. Vercion history: 4= times i did the tubing. .02= times i had leaks :geek:

:duh: , i had the wrong link, here is where you can find more information about this problem
    http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread.php?threadid=11496

Aparently all P4 Motherboards made at Abit have this issue, I updated Bios and Abit HQ utility program and still read the same temperatures. If you read the IC7 MAX3 Temerature survey you will see that my temperatures are about average compared with the temperature posted by people with WC.

    #2 is a good excuse :D
