    Yeah, but check it doesn't corrode the tubing... I suspect PVC is out. I'm not sure what advantages motor oil is going to give you though. It's viscosity certainly will reduce flow, and I'm not sure that its thermal properties are any better than that of water.

    If motor oil was such a great coolant, dont you think that automakers would have been using it in the cooling systems for a while now? Motor oil is used as a lubricant to reduce friction and thus heat, which most of the time is cooled by the coolant in the radiator loop (we all know already that water is better than air at heat transfer) :duh:

    Deionised & WW here although not been watercooling long it seems to keep things running along smoothly.

    And WTF is this about WW stinking? I didn't think it was that bad (not that I spent all day sniffing it or anything).
