Currently I have a overclocked ti 64 mb, but It doesn't cut the mustard anymore and I am looking to get either a Powercolor 9800pro or if I can afford it an Asus 9800pro XT. I score 11258 in 3dmark2001se atm so what kinda results can I expect with the new radeon in?

    A7N8X
    2700+
    512 Corsair PC2700
    7200rpm ATA-133 HDD
    Gef4 ti 64mb core = 285mhz, mem = 580mhz

    ta :D

a lot of its to do with the drivers and tweaks/settings you do in the contorl panel.

Don't go spending your money on a 9800XT, especially when pci express is right around the corner, you'd be a fool to buy a 9800xt right now!!

exactly, maybe get a 9600pro, or maybe an 9600XT to tie you over untill PCI express is set in.

What is the difference between "Sapphire ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Ultimate 128MB DDR TV-Out/DVI - Retail" and "Sapphire ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB DDR TV-Out/DVI - Lite Retail"?

    The price difference suggests alot...
    £154 for the Lite version
    £198 for the Ultimate version

    Anyone know the difference?

So the "lite" is a "proper" 9800pro then? Its just missing the bundled software? Why I would want to pay £44 for Tomb Raider The Angel Of Darkness I don't know... Could buy it new for a lot less...

The early PCI-Express graphics cards aren't going to be a hell of a lot faster than the current AGP cards. More than likely there will be no difference.

The lite version of the 9800pro retail pack contains no games or extras, just the card and a DVI/VGA convertor. Might have a tv-out cable too.

Would it be fair to say the Zalman cooled version would make temps considerably lower then the fan cooled? or is it not worth the extra cash.

It prob hotter is anything as its passivly cooled not active, only if you wan't a silent system, imo massive waste of money.
