Just wondering how you use that tongue of yours to spit out this word?

I can think of two ways to say it:

    Lie-nux
    Linn-ux

I've only ever heard it said in by an American and said the Linn-ux way. I, for some reason, say Lie-nux.

    Am I a loner here  ?!?!?!

I say lie-nux, because it annoys the crap out of this guy I work with. He throws a fit and plays the mp3, and I just laugh the entire time. Poor guy is going to have a stroke because of me.

If you want to hear it the right way, go rent Revolution OS and hear all the founders/developers/etc. say it (pssst, it's Lin-ucks). Even ol Linus was interviewed and questioned about the correct way to say it during the movie. Didn't want to spoil the fun, just wanted to bring the facts.

I used to say lie-necks but I have a Bulgarian friend whose accent is very similar to Linus' and he calls it linn-ucks so I changed :D

Its funny these people arguing that its meant to be pronounces lie-nucks (or whatever) when Linus himself says linn-nucks :eyebrow: I should think the man knows what the name of his OS is...
