sweetness dude, Im not all about these cases but this by far is the sweetest one I have seen. Mad Props. i really love the front mounted fan holes. I really love that window mod too. thats a sweet panel. mad mad mad props Cant wait to see this one done!
Acctually.... it is very reflective. When i first picked it up i was just happy to have it look "normal" because the guy who did it didnt look all that relieable anyways, as i was carrying it over the front lawn i saw a flash of "white" grass i was like "wtf... that's not meant to ...... omg..... ITS REFLECTIVE" it's not a mirror but god damn it has some good reflective ness. i'm stoked hehehe, your jedi mind tricks have no power over me... mwahah .. *falls over* heheh, well. i dont have a measure ment for before i did anything, but i do remember that it was fairly light. Now... it's a heavy biatch. I have nfi how i'm going to carry this biatch of a case, i had a hard enough time before i did anytthing to it. Acctually, i'm starting to think it will be a little lighter. Considering i've gotten rid of the drive cages, most of one of the panels, the front fan holes, the rear fan holes. hmm... only time will tell i suppose ^_^
would you mind trying to take a picture of one of the side panels so i can see how reflective the stuff is. I'm thinking bout getting the outside white and the inside black or otherway round cant decide yet.
WOW, shiny. What would you polish it with? It's not quite the same as paint is it, more plastic based from what i gathered, maybe thats the old form of powder coating.
Acctually.... it looks almost exactly like some of the quality paint jobs that have been done.... only not quite as reflective. It dosent look like plastic at all irl. As for the polishing ..... i really have nfi .... i was just going to use the stuff that dad polishes his car with. I'm not even sure i should polish it.... if it got anymore shiny the poor front panels will look even more out of place ^_^
ok ladies and gentlemen, today in the process of the case modding i made a huge step. I decided to do away with my crappy temp case and finally move into the NEAR completed Chieftec case. Some pics of the install process. Left to do::: ::Install the Cold Cathodes. ::Install the Window Acrylic. :: Perhaps paint the drives.
All in good time..... i have no job atm , things should start happening after i get one. Not just yet.... atm i'm focusing on getting the damn case back together completley. When it's all finished then i'll start worrying about other things such as the psu, blanking plates, fixing the fubared job i did on the front fan brakets, properly glueing down the rear plexi braket. Oh yer... and major system upgrades after i get a job ^_^
I may of considered filling the holes on the side panel but that just an opinion. Great mods and sleek face lift
great work! i love white and blue together why don't you try with an uv cathode? all that white should be very reactive
I did try to do this with putty, however it kept on popping out of the holes when i sanded it back Now there is something i hadnt thought of
