Yeah, not to mention Fluorinert has some hidden properites that make it a bith tougher to work with. IE - It will eat some pump seals...

Not to mention the hideous cost. :D

Anywho, piloux, what about doing a fish-tank style window on the back side of the Mobo tray? Aged and filled with nasty looking solution...and a custom bubbler - and you would only be able to see it through the rips/tears/jagged-holes on the side panel. (Just to clarify - I am talking the BACK of the mobo).

Not that I should even be suggesting ideas for this most rightous of mods... :worried:

Javadog's idea actually sounds pretty good. Just dye the water green, put a green CCFL somewhere to make it glow, and you've got a nice tank of that toxic waste that gave me so much of a hard time when I was trying to beat HL...

Hey, I haven't been to Bit-Tech in a while, but this being my first trip back I HAD to see how far you'd come on your Project.

So far, this is one of the most impressive painted cases I have EVER seen. Gloss paint is cool, makes everything look slick, but seeing this rust paint on your case, I almost think it's real.

In the future I'll be doing a little brother to Black Mesa, so I hope you don't mind :D

you can see that I place the waterblock and the tubes; the tubes are silicon tubes that aren't so clear to get the old look...
the window is not finish yet , I m trying differents solutions to get it old and time damage

Cool, that's what I was hoping you were going to do. Just going to leave openings for the CPU/RAM and PCI/AGP cards to "stick-out"?? You could use normal Mobo standoffs to mount the Mobo, but instead of screws, actually use another set of tall Standoffs to mount a metal "plate" over the mobo.

    EDIT: Like This:

It also gives you the freedom to rust/age that plate, and even solder fake components and wiring, etc etc onto the plate to make a faux electronics mobo. :naughty:

Wow, this is lookin really good. (as always I suppose, but still :thumb:)
Looking forward to seeing it finished.

I have a bit of a question. I can't remember if it was asked before (don't think so though.) Is the airflow limited by very much only having the three holes in that front air intake? Wait.. never mind. I can see that there is a gap between the bezel and the fave plate. It should be fine.

EDIT: What JavaDog said sounds like a good way to go at it. Also the wires and compenents and stuff would look really cool.

WHat about using a flame source to blacken and melt the window a little bit. That should give it the aged look. You'll probably want to practice a little bit to get the look right.

hehe, you could always have a little bit of fun and tie the window to the back of your car and drag around the nieghborhood.
