This is a project I wanted to start a long time ago, but posted this only now cuz today I got my HP 945..
The goal of this project is making a "matrixish" case, which will include the following things:
Black plexy window, with matrix "letters" engraved or milled in. I'm not sure if I'll light it with green leds, or paint with a green UV gel inside the letters. Got to test it and see which will be better.
    Stealthed DVD and CD-RW.
Motorized LCD coming out of the drive bay.
Inverted LCD (black BG, green font).
All cables sleeved in UV green.
    All fans (2x120,2x80) UV green.
    UV cold cathode :p
Fan controller (probably side windowed or in an outside box)
These are the things from the top of my head right now, more will probably come later. You are more then welcome to suggest more.
    Things done so far:
    Install UV cold cathode.
    Install 2x120mm UV green fans.
    Sleeved fan tails.
For now I have no Dremel around :wallbash:, so all the dremelish stuff will come later on.
    Pictures for your mind:
    Front of my case:

    Side of my case:

good luck with the Matrix theme, could be very nice if you do it right (worthless prediction that is lol)

    that Zalman is a CNPS7000(A)-Cu btw ;)

I love that case, how long did it take you to sketch that all anyway?

Are those green fans the 120s you talked about?

If so, how are they noise-wise?

I was looking at getting a pair for a green/black HTPC I wanted to build, so I was wondering about them and where to get a good set.

Oh, and definitely wrangle them cables :thumb:

Maybe if you're feeling particularly swank you could try and changover all the molex connectors to UV green too?

And make some of the wires of the PSU UV green as well?

I'm spewing with "too much trouble for what it is" ideas haha

Yes, these are the 120mm fans. They are VERY noisey. That is the main reason why I am making a fan controller. If you are still intrested, they were bought at jab-tech.com at a pretty low price.

At first, I wanted to change the molexes too, but it came to me that it is too expensive and not THAT visible..

And about the PSU cables, they are to be sleeved too.

It's always great to see Israeli modders out there in the world. :p
Yes, this is Compucase CI-6A19, but I recommend you on getting the CI-6919. It's 80NIS more, but it's about 10cm taller. In this case, I have no room for LCD and more goodies (except the drive bays..). So, it's you call, but I recommend the 6919.

And now, some more pictures I took recently:

    Thats all folks!

Well, in that case, this is the case for you. It also comes with a nice 120mm fan with a temprature sensor.

There is enough room for everything. About the noise, I haven't tested that fan.

    Funny.
