Great forum, and eve greater mod! I'll bet that Valve will provide u with some nice hardware (and software) if you let them use your mod in some PR or something. -John-
Piloux, your mods just keep getting better and better. A totally original idea, that looks absolutely faithful to it's source. A real "Hall of fame" mod, this one!
thank you guys for feedbacks well, these wires aren't white, they are copper wires with clear sleeve, the white effect came from the pics here are some more pics : first I have to say that today wasn't lucky day for me : I broke the Jauge by drilling a hole into it to integrate the hdd led into then the jauge is out of order Im waiting for special wire to get some more longer to the uv cathode wires al the parts and hardware are now in their good place I also change the potentiometer buttons with these : they need the rust paintjob and here is the reactor core I hope to get the keyboard this week
What more can I say, other than WOW Looking forward to seeing the keyboard. A truly awesome system. One suggestion: The chipset fan looks REALLY shiny and new in there... maybe pop it off the motherboard and carefully apply some rust to the top chrome surface?
Looks great, piloux! I wish you would have shot up that left panel though . Maybe you should buy a silencer so your neighbors can't hear What are the hardware specs? I searched but couldn't find anywhere you posted them before.
the hardware spec are : abit nf7 s 2.0 amd barton 2500+ (OC of course ) HDD maxtor 120 Go 7200 rpm 8 mb ram : still have to buy it
oups sorry ,that's right, this is an ATI Radeon 9600 XT from Club3D , I think it is enough powered to make HL² rules well
well I said it before I think ; I had ordered the chaintech and I wait for it for one month ... finally I got a mail from the shop that tell me that chaintech don't sell anymore this model ... then I had to make a choice for anotherone and the best price/rate for me was the NF7
Still looking great Piloux, you managed too keep the Rusted look even with the insides of the PC fitted. Nice solutions. I also like the new potentiometer buttons a lot more then the old ones! Finaly I'd like to mention that I used your rust procedure and paint on my mobile phone! It looks as rusted as your PC now. I was a bit worried about my reception, being that there is a lot of Iron in that paint, but it still works OK. if I can get my hands on a digicam I'll post a picture!! Good luck with the keyboard, I'm dying to see what you're gonna do with that!! Garbach
gaaah what did you break? the Gauge? how? is it that large that you drilled through it? Is it fixable? what does this mean for the future of our favourite mod?
