Dupli-color is a nice brand indeed. But.. I used in combination with some other brand normal paint....and this is the reaction... The vernis is actually "eating" the paint, i puished a cloth on it...and I just saw the alumium original case. Bah! Gotto repaint it, but this time it's going to be red. Stay tuned, tomorrow a new update with bezel and buttons. ~Xeno~
Yeah I'm worried about getting a reaction when I paint my flames on Beast. About to run to Autozone and look at paint and 1500 grit sandpaper. Here's a hint from my wife to all you ladies (any?) out there. Use the 1500 grit sandpaper to buff your nails before putting on your nail polish. The results are stunning.
I hate reactions with paint!!! And lol @ the ladys advice. What on earth made here do that. u? I'm not gonna try, I'm no lady though. ~Xeno~
She lost her emory board and was in the workshop with me, so I gave her a piece of 1500 Grit wetdry and she just loved it. I'll try and get a picture of it. By the way she likes your hair too . She used to have blue liberty spikes. Damn that made me feel old.
Haha, a lady in a workshop. I like it! My girlfriend don' like if i'm workin' on my case. Feel old, or you are just old. . Nobody is too old to mod their pc. . Cheers! ~Xeno~
***update 09/05/2004 *** ***UPDATE 09/05/2004 *** I've been working on my case prettty hard lately. I repainted the top of the case and started to prime the frontpanel. I've been thinking to make a fancontroller myself. Is this possible? Could you use a switch and connect it in the circuit to pull up / down the power the fan will be given? Other things I did: - paint the floppy-drive black. - Sanded the power button, primed it and it's ready to be pained. - Choose some switches for the colt cathodes and the leds. - Painted more allen-head screws red. Things i'm planning to do: - Sand the side-panels,prime and paint them. - Paint the frontpanel. - Cut acryic for the frontpanel. - Mod the acrylic in the frontpanel. - Buy a can of red paint and use it for the case itself and some fans. So there's enough to do, but I got plenty of time since I got 2 week of vacation left. There will be pictures soon. I can't get my hands on a cam. right now. / edit: This was my 250th post w0000t! / ~Xeno~
Hey Xeon. I found the guide i used for painting case. Found it very useful Link. Hope the paint job comes out good in the end, u deserve it after all the work and problems u've had, but its the only way to learn, through mistakes. Pearso
Hey guys, thanx for the comments! Here are some reponse. If you got any suggestions are thinks you don't like, jsut tell me! No, the panels are going to be black. The frame of the case is going to be red! I mean this part: That guide is looking good. I'm gonna try it soon. Thanx for the link. Hmmm, you made a point there.. Nice ! I'm gonna try it. But won't it be better to paint it red??? The whole panel will be black. I think a red lighten fan with a red fanguard will do...or not? Plz give your opinion about this: A black or a red fanguard on the side panel. ~Xeno~
I actually followed your advide. Today I painted the fanguard glossy-black and i think it's oke. Thanx for the advice. I also paintd some screws for the front fan, they're red now. The same I did with the rear 80mm fan, it's totally red. . I still can't get my hands on a camera. ****ty! I hope to get one tomorrow or the day after it. More updates comming soon. [edit] Forgot to say, I'm going to buy 4 switches like these which will be put in the front of the case. 2 On each side of the power button. The 2 left from it will be used as switches for the colt cathodes. The 2 at the right will be used for the red and blue leds hidden in the case. The 4 switches will be painted red and the power button will remain black. I hope it works out the way I have in mind. [/edit] ~Xeno~
THanx, I love it myself. . I've been modding really much, but I just can;t get my hands on a camera. I promiss soon you'll see much MUCH pictures. Much changed here. hehe! Thanx for watching on my project, stay tuned for updates!!! ~Xeno~
