L12 bridge mod quick reply needed

    hello i am trying to the L12 mod on my 1700+ is it ok if i fill the gap between the bridges with generic thermal paste and draw a line to connect the bridges

    If you are not sure how to do it, then I really would leave it be. AFAIK you only need a decent sharp pencil.

    Much easier to do the wire trick on the socket.

    i did the wire trick its seems to be working but when i start the computer up on the post screen it says ATHLON XP 1837 Mhz except for saying 2700+
    (processor is a downgraded 2700) i tries upping the multiplier but with no luck
    the maximum speed this 1700+ can run at is 2.04 ghz
    i think i can get more out of it but its the bios that doesn't allow many overclocking options my board is ga7n400pro2 rev.2 (chipset is rev.c1)
    i dont think the memory would hold me back cause i tried overclocking my memory seperately and it worked rock stable at 240 mhz (480)
