    Pictures to follow tomorow night

:thumb: You know those nice cases.. the ones where they
bend all the material over itself to have nice
smooth edges so no one (who doesnt know what
they are doing) opens the case and cuts themselves.

they are a... to "flaten" out.. in this case there were
3 seperate bends (90 up from case, 90 from side, then 90 up)
ill take some pictures of the carnage later on..
kids. dont try it at home. unless you got good gloves
and a really big hammer (and know how to use it)
i had neither, but since i grew up working with rusty
    metals.. this was cake..

i have a few pictures taken over the past few days, and
will take more later, but will not have a chance to post
until tomorow night (Fiance is leaving tomorow morning)
and will also have more time to work (she doesnt like the
disc on metal sound very much).

I have a nice cut out design started for a side panel,
hard to do really nice designs with a cutting disk..
I may buy an engravers tool to do the rest.. hmm.

So far I have accomplished my main goal. Leave no piece
    untouched..uncut..unbent...un.. well. destroyed.

The real challenge is not how to make something good from
a cheiftech case.. the problem is making something that
doesnt look as bad as it did. with a bunch of scrap metal =-) :dremel:

Ok. some teasers.. ended up having a bad day so didnt get around to it last night.. but you can see some more destruction... it takes alot of ripping, cutting and breaking before you get something good enough
to make a new case out of..

Just a tease of my mad dremel skills. (not)

Hmm so many fun parts to use...

    This was a 2 hour ... :duh:

Hmm. what to do.. what to do...

mm its the side of the case that had all the sharp parts bent (look at the left
side.. it used to look like that) its the bottom plate of the tower.. and those
two metal pieces are 2 of the bends that didnt make the strait part..
dremel wouldnt work.. only pliers.. hammer.. and some muscle

Oooh. a Saturday. and im home alone.. so what do i do?
sleep in? no... watch movies.. wrong again.. whats that i smell?
melted plastic n plexi... you got it...

First off. let me say one thing. When it comes to their pre-mod door.
it is about the only cool thing about the case.. the edges of the plexi
were nicely shaved so the "window" was flush with the case on the
outside... im not going to replicate that.. in addition.. they had plastic
rivets (2 parts) that are re-usable.. have the mount that goes in, then
a pin that pushes the mount out and around the plexi to hold it snug..
    thus.. no drilling..

Since im too cheap to go out and buy more plexi (until i run out of this..)
i made a simple cut for the bottom panel... forgot to take a pic when i had
    it fitted.. but it works
    [IMG]

the front/back panel needed some adjustments, since they were cut
shorter then what they were to fit with the top/bottom of the case
    ...time for the dremel..

from my 2 hours of work... the part that i bended out looked kinda
crappy still.. so about another hour i took using my new 3" c clamp
(1.99 at target) to mold it more to my liking.. another hour or so after
i was busy with grinding all the edges.. still not done.. but can only
focus on one thing for so long..

next was the mb side panel.. which is too large for my new frame...
so with my 2" wide masking tape.. i prepped.. then cut it down to size.
(why do i always see people spending hours and hours using normal
"thin" masking tape.. spend the extra dollar and get the wide stuff!!)

Now with my new cut out section in place with the frame, as well
as the crappy looking plastic on the front.. for reference..

just another shot showing the frame
    [IMG]

Hmm. everything needs to be broken and cut on this case... i couldnt
    leave this out...

ooh.now to buy a little superglue n bondo.. might look ok after all..

Thats all for today.. depending how it goes tomorow i may have some more stuff up.

And as always.. since i posted more pictures... it would be helpful to have...

you guessed it. Feedback! =-) :thumb:

(come on.. after 1800 some views... you would think someone would think
    *SOMETHING* about this case)
