Hey there, can anyone tell me where i can get red/black wire for the inside of computers from. I go to hardware sites, all the "computer wire" is stuff like ribbon cable and network cable, and i'm not sure what resistance etc the wire needs to be...
A maplins code or similar would be really handy :)
btw i know u can buy it from "modding sites" but the prices are blatantly trying to overcharge muppets like me who can't find what they want on maplins :D

    Sean.

    You can use standard wire.

If you're pulling alot of current you can get a thicker gauge multicore like from your molex connectors in your pc, you probably wont need it though.

    Wire is generally nothing special.

i've got plenty of old PSus lying around, but for some mods i'm doing this summer, i'm gonna need fairly long lengths of the stuff.
    cheers for the reply anyway

I couldn't easily find any online either, so I just went to my local Basic Electronics shop and asked for some generic wire. It's quite happily powering my internal LCD now (so far!)

Hey again Cannon^Fodder... Pop down to your local maplins... they are all over the place... heck there are 2 here where I live just in the city centre! They have loads of the wire you are after! :) They also sell the heat shrink I am using ATM LOL :)

    Anyway hope that helps!
