Can someone please help me? Im trying to setup a psone screen i have onto my computer using the standard cord that came with it (Just: Yellow (Video), Red(Right Audio), White(Left Audio)) and am having lots of trouble. The sound works perfect but NO pitcture shows up at ALL, i even plugged the vidoe cable into the sound plugs, shouldnt the screen show garble or SOMETHING? P.S. Its not broken as it works with my PSOne perfectly fine. Help Appreciated
nope, it doesnt show up from the television set tv-out either, and as i said, the lcd isnt broken cos it works with the psone
Er. Why would a television have a TV OUT? Aren't you plugging it into the TV IN? Plug it into your DVD player or VCR instead, see what you get.
Here's some more info on people having trouble with the PSOne screen, and their fixes: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread/t-32292.html They suggest you have to connect the metal outer casing of the VGA connector as well, as it's not just shielding but part of the circuit. http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=17938&page=3&pp=15 Talk about putting some resistors in the cable (75 Ohms) if the card doesn't detect the LCD http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=26080&page=2 has a TTL circuit to allow it to work with various cards, and Powerstrip http://www2.cs.uh.edu/~scamp/ A small list of cards that do and don't work with the screen. Hope this helps.
I think PAL psone screens need a 5v signal on one of the ps connector pins (pin 10?) to turn the screen on. more info here.
Anyone got info on whether the screen will work with a Radeon 9800XT? If not could you put an old PCI card in (matrox G200) to control just the LCD?
