regarding the red anodized Aluminium fans ur using: did you anodize them, or did they come like that. I've never been able to find them in any color besides the plain alu.

    hi zap,

    looking great so far! :thumb:

Do you have any more pictures of the PSU installed but without the case on? I only ask as im interested in how the 4-cable ATX lead looks when installed compared to a single fat one. Im thinking my psu could do with some re-sleeving! :D

    Thanks in advance,

    RoB

Christ almighty the mod will be finished when it's finished, you impatient sods! Anyway a tentative deadline of mid July (?) has been mentioned (read the thread).

As noted, the dead line is the end of this month.

I can get some more images up later.

I average 14,000 sessions a week on my website. (20,099 last week)
It works out to over 1 million hits, and 3+ GigaBytes of bandwidth a month.
But I am working to slim the bandwidth down some.

Get Corsair XMS or AMD to but up a banner on you site you would never have to work again. That amount of hits is incredible.

I will be glad to see this finished, I bet you are too by now. Going back to the Media PC after this or has another project popped up? Whatever it is I am sure it will be great. Keep up the good work.

The faceplate isn't done at all yet.
I decided to finish modding the rest of the case and come back to the faceplate last.

There will be trim on the edges, so there is no need to spend time on filling the edges.
There was a pause for a bit on this PC as I had some other projects at work that needed extra time.

But I am now back into full-modding mode, and will have some updates soon.

I appreciate your lack of understanding for a hidden bump in an interesting way in hopes of getting a new status update.

    How about some eye candy?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have installed the LEDs into the faceplate.
There are 24 3mm LEDs, 12 Red, and 12 Orange.

Even under the light of two 12" Cold Cathodes, you can see the glowing red and orange in the faceplate.

The blade is my temporary plastic blade, the final blade will be alluminum.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The night shot shows just how bright the LEDs are.
The light floods out the sides of the faceplate.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you can see the detailed light effect that glows under the plexi.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

With the blade off you can see 24 LEDs, installed at 15 degree angles.
The LEDs shine inside the the top-layer of plexi, so there is a combined black-mirror (Macroblack effect), and the light effect combined.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

And a night shot with the blade off.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

The LEDs are installed onto the second layer of plexi.
Here you can also see the cut-out for the slot DVD Drive.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

One the back the LEDs are wired into a ring.
The contacts were then covered in hot-glue to prevent shifting.

Unfortunently I do not have the time to create the strobing flame effect I originaly planned on.
