Whats your ambent? unless your using a ducting mod thats reading wrong tbh, my room is 24+°C with my window open :/ 'doc
when comapring heatsinks the temperature you get means absolutly jack. My room when i woke up this morning was 25°C so when i switched on my compputer my water was at 25°C anyway. 'doc
i use an areocool HT 101 and i love it, its quiet, awsome cooling and its housing is uv blue, my temps are 30 idle - 40 load with my 2.66 at 3.2 but when my 2.66 is stock speed it loads at 37.
My CPU I my comp is running a Barton 2500+ (stock) and all the default retial packaging MBM 5 reads the cpu temp around 33 idle/internet surfing and around 45-47 after playing some DX:IW for a couple of hrs. *Temps are in Celsius* i Wanna get etheir a Thermalright ALX800 with a A UV Reactive Fan or the TEC Wind ZEN cooler. If your not familiar with the later it combines heat pipe technology with 5000RPM fans. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA7VAXP Ultra so the types of thermalright HSF is limited.
j have duron 1.8. and use old mini super orb. =). with 2 coolers. if j not use copm, end buss disconnect presset, my temp - 35 deg. in room ~25. if use - 40 max. but i have 3 fan else. in midi tower.
Coolermaster Aero 7+ Keeps my chip nice and cool, right now MBM 5 is reading the chip as being 59 degrees F
Speeze Lightowl for me, seems to do the job and isnt too loud (read a hell of a lot quieter than the pus fan, damn shitty cheap case psus) 48 idle 53 sustained load for an athlon 2600+ at 2400MHz with case temps between 25 and 28.
intel stock hsf , i have no intention to upgrade yet. its always cold to the touch and im used to the jet like sounds that come from it.
