Ok since this is a work in progress i guess it should be in this forum. Im not that great of a modder nor do i plan on ever being able to reach the level that many of you are at. Here are the links to what ive done to my rig thus far: http://arkuden.com/comp1.jpg http://arkuden.com/image1.jpg http://arkuden.com/comp3.jpg http://arkuden.com/comp3.jpg Here are my specs: Antec TruePower 430W PS Antec Super Lanboy DFI LANPARTY NFII ULTRA B AMD XP 3000+ @ 2.1Ghz 1GB Corsair Value Select 184 Pin DD400 PC-3200 (Dual Channel) SAMSUNG 120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive XFX Geforce FX 5700LE 256mb Creative Labs Audigy 2 Gamer Vantec "IceBerq" Coppery All-In-One VGA & Chipset Cooling Kit ZALMAN CNPS7000A-Cu Pure Copper CPU Cooler Samsung 16X DVD-ROM Samsung 52X32X52 CD-RW Kingwin Thermal Center Here is what will be done to it during the next few days: Replace HSF with Vantec Areoflow TMD Install top mounted window with fan put in UV cathode Install winamp led thingy Pics below (possibly in front panel) Do something with blue fan grill on front. As of now that is all i have planned unless anyone has any ideas they wish to share. I will update tomorrow once i get started on everything.
How do you get the winamp thing to work right? Both guides I've read on it (and clearly one is a copy of the other) say you need userport to get it working but that doesn't work for me. Runs fine in '98 though. And is there any way to have two visualization plugins going at once (ie one to that meter and one to an LCD meter?) Maybe try internalizing the plug for that thing somehow... those passthru wires to get to the external ports drive me nuts. But mounting that thing somewhere... top or side maybe would look good. And make that ugly front for that drawer thing go away.
well i got it to work by downloading the user port and extracting into root\windows\system32\drivers then you also need to download the winamp plug-in. I tested both with winamp 2 and 5 versions so it works i know. You can set the visualizations to 3 different styles. The one i use most is the boom indicatior. Just to let you know that if you plug the thing in before running user port or starting the plug-in all the leds should be lit. then i ran userport and put in the 0x378-0x378 like the guide says. Heres all the info i had to work with The site i got it from is Led Meter Dont worry about the drawer pic that will be gone soon lol
wow no comments what so ever. talk about being popular.... well i guess for my own peace of mind the mod is mostly done and this pics will be updated early am tomorrow morning. I am proud of how it turned out.
well after a long 7 hours of non stop work i think we got it all ready to go. I am very dissapointed in the heatsink. My idle temps are 50 degrees celcius right now and it scares the crap outta me. Im getting a gigabyte 3d cooler pro ASAP. Ive heard nothing bad about it and it cant be worse than what im using Well here are the pics. I hope i enjoy them as im the only one who really cares.
Cool mod. Love the top window - I might try out somfin like than on my Super Lanboy. I'm currently in the process of adding a 120mm fan to the side window.
yes we used some super industrial epoxy glue, it took about an hour to set but once it did it was like cement. Thanks for the comments guys. I am sad tho becuase even after adding that top fan, i was hoping it would help out some temps a little bit but they all went up actually. The one thing i do not like about this case, is that its tooo small. Im not able to add a decent heat sink in with out cutting half of it off. Ive decided im going to get Antecs PlusView1000AMG. Its almost twice the room and it will allow me to have a good zalman or evern gigabytes new 3d cooler pro
