Short Update! My next victim, the PSU: Random pictures of me dissasembling the PSU: (Just for saftey and stuff, I don't recommend touching the inside of your PSU. After all opening it voids your warranty. Something a modder would never do. *lays on the sarcasm*) And this is prep for priming so I don't cover any components: Last time I left you with some images of the chassis laid out for painting, I now bring you it assembled: The front bezel is done, well technically it could use some minor work and needs primed one more time, but for the sake of imperfection, it's done. Some shots of the case assembled so far, you can see my wicked cool window that I need to finish filing the cuts on:
What in the world do I plan to do with the leftovers of the cut out window? Put them to good use making some 'stabilizer fins' for the top of course! Okay, My first bad idea of the project. I thought to myself, I've got these little holes...and there is a possibility that they'll be stretched because the metal flexes a bit, so I should use that lovely can of fiberglass bondo I have yet to open. Small holes and large strings of fiberglass...ya they don't go well together, I did the best I could, but I'll prolly end up sanding most of it off and trying again. On the bright side, I've got the first coat of paint down on three of the outside peices! These fins turned out really sweet: I can't believe how shiny this really looks!
fro the windoed panel fiberglss from behind and bondo from the front love the paint looks like black chrome
Ya, I just picked it up at walmart. it's like $3.10 a can, but you can defnitely tell that it's worth the extra $2!
SAAAHH-WEEEEEEEE-TAAAAHHHH!!!!! Gues what Tech-Daddy is going to 'speriment with next??!?!? Hehehhee Keep it up bro!
holy Sh*t thats nice, i'de use more adjactives to express my loveness for this case (aircraft freak) but i'de baned/suspenned, so i'll say this very nice case, tis sexiest beast that i have seen in long time, ad paint looks so nice, make the F-117 Proud!!!!!!!!!
Amazing how with relatively few resources but lots of skill and hard work you've already totally transformed that dull beige box into a modding bit of art. Good work! And I visited the askthetechgirl site. Really funny!
