Not sure if this should be in here cause its a VFD question, or in Software cause it's a software question. I spose it'll get moved to the right 1 :S Anyway. I've obtained an old CD5220 Pole display from a broken EPoS system and was thinking I could hook it up to my own PC. I've got the manual for it, and it's got a serial connector, I just have no idea what software might still support it with it being so old. The manual's here: http://www.partnertechcorp.com/download/documentation/CD5220_Manual.pdf And here's some extra setup information I found on the interweb: Control Codes Partner Tech CD5220, CD7220: Line 1: 12,27,91,72 Line 2: 27,91,75,13 Characters per line: 20 I really dont wanna have to spend a load of time coding my own software for it hehe. (yes i already tried google...) thanks in advance [edit] I just found these drivers for it on the PartnerTech website, though I'm not sure how useful they'll be yet... http://www.partnertechcorp.com/r2/support-poledisplays-cd5220.shtml
Hi Try using LCDHype (www.lcdhype.de.vu) as it supports the escPOS command set and the manual shows that this device can be set to operate in that mode. LCDHype is a German site but the site has an English section and the author will accept queries in English and respond in English. Good Luck!
