if you look more carefuly you would notice that he uses a Logitech Dual Mouseman Optical. So it does work with optical mice.

Two reasons, 1. Many peeps would struggle to connect and mount them due to their minute size and 2. I have yet to find hyperbright smd leds.:(

Great article. Does the 3D film wear and tear after a little while? Would coating it with something help make it last longer? Thanks!

I have added a link to the image in the article. You can download it here.....
    http://bit.ukgn.org/images/article/75/bitmat.jpg

The 3D film seems to be as hard wearing as any mouse surface I have come across. You can print on either side of the film so you may want to print a reverse image on the back so the ink does not rub off. Leave the ink to dry for about 24Hrs and it becomes permenant and won't rub off any way. The only way to remove it is by soaking in water.:eeek:

    Welcome to the forums :D

Ive just ordered some 3d film . Do i need to order a special print cartrage or will a standard color 1 do. Also if u print on to back , It needs to be backwards so when u turn the pic to face it the right way ???????

    Thx for any help

Standard ink is fine. Yes reverse the image when printing on the back.
