no a picture at the backside of the motherboard closer to the point where you attached the atx power cable to the motherboard, so that we can see better how you've done it.

Good one on the mobo backside soldering, i plan to do the same. I even believe ZapWizard is actually desoldering and re-mounting the sockets on the mobo's backside.

It should work. I put all of my fan connectors on the back of my mobo. Works great and makes for a really clean look. I didn't even think of doing the atx though. :duh: I guess I have some more soldering to do.

    Nice mod!

At least you didnt take off the ATX connector yet...I'd wait until I got it running (if it runs :hehe: ) before I took it off. That's such a leet idea too, I'm going to have to try it. Damn, need to start practicing my soldering skills.

Did you also do the IDE mod or just find it?

This could make for a legendary jape - wire it all up so the ATX power is connected to the back of the board, through a hidden hole in the mobo tray. With a windowed case you could confuse the **** out of poor people by booting up your machine without any apparent power connection.

Okay, when I say legendary, it would make us geeks laugh. Most "normal" people would probably just think it a bit sad. In fact, they wouldn't see what was wrong at all. But never mind, I'd laugh.

Heh, I've been planning for a while now that when I get round to doing a major re-hash of my case, I'd hide a lot of the wiring by re-locating connectors to the back of the board. Great minds think alike eh? ;)

my soldering skills suck so I would be afraid to do that mod. now based on this pic, are you going to mod your power unit? how is that coming along?
