Modding recieved my psone lcd. power adaptor help please?

hi i recieved my lcd today and i noticed that the power adaptor i got with it is totally different to that seen on bit-tech.

it looks like this



so erm where do i cut off the wire etc? how would i go about doing this?

Can you take it apart?

 

Where did you get the power adaptor from ?
I have been waiting for a month now from one I ordered on the net.
Mailed them to cancel it today and really want to get one so the kids can use it in the car before going back to school.

 

i recieved the cigarette power adaptor with my lcd.

nobody can help?

 

cig adaptors use direct 12 V... so i guess the wire has 2 wires in it
ground
12V
so i think just take apart the adaptor/cut it off and ull see you got 2 wiers
one of them 12 V one of them gnd

not sure though

 

i know that thanks but where should i cut? as i need part of the adapter for lowering the voltage from 12v to 7.5v.




edit: i ripped it open as i had nothing to lose andall there was is a wire running from the pcb to the two metal contacts on the side. the pcb says GND so thats going to ground on my molex. There was also a spring which went to the center of the adapter and thats going to supply the 12v.

will get pix up soon for anybody else who may get the same adapters
