i like micro things, so i made micro case with smalest dimensions as possibly, first i made a prototyp from paper
    [IMG]

    a litle scheme
    [IMG]

after that i finally bought a plexi (polycarbonat)
    700x530x5mm for 15euro, lets cutting :D
    [IMG]

case dimensions is 190mm width, 260mm height and 230mm depth
inside is microatx mobo w/ duron 1,2ghz, 256MB ram , 160GB seagate, radeon9000, sound blaste live, pci wifi card, normal power suplly and sony cd-rw (ps. on the cpu is 92mm fan and in the case is 3* blue 80mm clear fans)

so after i cuted the plexi
    [IMG]

    i made some holes
    [IMG]

lpt port is vired back to case because leds are controled by them (more later)

stay tuned it will be better and better :)

    Looks really promising :) .

I too love small computers and although I find Shuttles a little too small, your MATX design looks brilliant. Keep up the good work :hip: .

yea front 80mm is now intake, in the left, down is one 80mm to get out heat air from hdd, gpu and psu, in the left +up is wind tunnel to the cpu 92mm big cooler, hot air from the top half is blown out the 80mm on the back, temperatures CPU-42, HDD-38, case-34 celsius degrees :)) fans are regulated to 4V(5V with resistor) can be switched to 6V(7V with resistor) it means about 1200rpm and +/-18dB :))

it is very very hard to place all these big components to too small case, changing hdd is a 1/2hour work, front fan take 1hour..., it is very conterated and linked each to other...

to get heat air from cpu i drilled some holes :D
    [IMG]

    testing fans
    [IMG]

holes for graphic, wifi and sound card
    [IMG]

fan holes i drille with this :D i have no tool for making 75mm hole so i make it
    [IMG]

driled for 5 minuts , edging fo 1 hour :)

    gluing together
    [IMG]
    and the back side
    [IMG]

    testing...

stay tuned it will better and better :D

there are about 40Leds, 8blue leds (3left, 3right, 2up) is controled by lpt port and can blicking like night-rider or many more effect or can be used like color-sound with winamp plugin, there are red led too 2 on the left side, 2 on the right side, one up, 2 down and one in the midle, one red led indicates transfering via usb, one indicate transfering via ide(cdrw-burning etc), in the wind tunnel are 4red led, in the logo on the front are one red ane one blue, in each fan are 3 blue leds,... everything is controled by switchers on the front and back :) for friend and for shows i switch everything on and case lights like x-mas tree, when i am alone in the dark i switch on only decent red underlight (it dont harm eyes like 3000mCd blue leds) and i can see on keyboard :)

Man... That red light effect is just so nice, i don't think that you should use blue led fans, or led fans at all... It looks so nice with the red!

you didnt have a holesaw..... so you modded one..... dude, that alone just rocks so much.

nice case indeed, i do like that 'edge effect' with the red leds, i dont know if it was intentional or accidental, but it looks sweet.

thats what i was also thinking...you don't even need to take the led's out...just disable them................. then when you on the rare ocasion turn on a light......the fans will still be semi clear....
