    Hi all

I know its not really a modding question but can any one help.

In my car i added a lights on warning buzzer and an imbolisor to my car but i have a problem.

all 4 doors of my car set the buzzer off when the door is opened, same with the imobalisor(only if the key is out)

i want to set it off with just the drivers door.

can i put a Rectifier Diode 1N5402 maplin code QL83E into the circuit?

    below is the circuit

    can any one help?

    Thanks

    Andy

ah i get you i think so as long as the diode is before where the others connect,

    SIR, yes SIR....
a nice place to do this... at the door-switch just place the diode there, and run the wire from the switch side of the diode upp to the buzzer an imob....

Just remember to put the diode the right way.. or the lights won't turn on when you open the driver's door, and the buzzer will sound when you open any door... :eyebrow:

it stopped raining for 10 mins, so went out and did it,

it works, thanks Alekoy for the help.

do you know if the diodes get hot? will it be ok behind a pannel?

that shoud not be a problem (if you don't have many lights in the door-circuit) but, it shoud be fine.. (just calculate/mesure the current in the circuit, multiply it by 0,6 and you have the wattage of the diode)
