    Hi fellow Bit-tech dudes.
I'm new to this forum and your projects logs has inspired me to start design computer cases.
I do not have any skills in any major 3D prog so I use what I can, SketchUp :)

I have done a few cases based on my own ideas and from diferent threds in the forum.

The first case is based on some ideas from "the nuke suitcase" and some dude who made a TFT pop out of his case.

The second case is inspired by an Apple mini and a guy who modded a small TFT in his shuttle XPC.

I don't have any chance of making these case for the moment due to my job and school, but there is a good chance that i will be making these case sometime.

The point of my thred was to get some grades and tips on my work,
and i wanted to contribute with my ideas to the rest of you.

PS. You don't have to be nice just because I'm new to the forum :D .DS

not that I advocate the use of Windows Media Player, but I love the matching buttons on the top of the second one.

I have to second that question, what are the white things that are sticking up at the back of the blue one? I thought perhaps they were going to be aerials for WiFi, or perhaps even radio?

The second case is very, very tasty indeed!

But, er, yeah... what are those white things sticking up that look like printer paper supports?

hehe, the "whithe thingies" are WIFI antennas =)

The case isn't done 100 % but after a made some curved faces in sketchup it didn't allowed me to do more job on that face so I gave up, I will maybe do it all over again.

I went through my sketchup files and i found some more.

The first on is a HEPC with a Palm VX modded into it for controling winamp and se the playlists and so on, and there is a small VFD display in the front.

the second one is inspired by Lian Li.
There is two black areas on top, they are speakers, there is also a TFT that flips up from the front, I can't show you that cause this case is deletad bt mistake form my disc :(

There is also a special vent at the back for a radioator.

Beneth the case there is a huge tank that you can see from the front, also there is 3 lamps, like a trafic light that change colurs and you can see this through the water from the front.

The front TFT is used as a second monitor for playing SNES, NES, etc games.
You hook up your controller to the front USB ports, which are behind the 3.5 slot. (I don't need a floppy!)

Ive been working on a simulair idea as your second one. To bad my sketchup-skills arent that good :( . I had an idea where the mobo would be placed horizontally with the ports downwards. Only problem is the psu atm since i cant seem to find a good place for it

What kind of computer would you mount in your case?
If you should use a mini-itx there is a lot of room for a mini-itx PSU, they can spose with 55-200 W and they are no bigger then a 5.25 front.

I'm using a standar sized atx mobo. So it will prolly be a little bigger then the model. I wish i had the money to buy a mini-itx, but i'll just have to do with what i got

Sure I can.......I don't know why, but there is something sexy with the Apple Cube computer, so I took "some" design from there

the little black thing ypu see on the top is a infrared sensor, that sense if something covers it and then the display goes up, done by 2 servos inside the cube, the cube is designed to fit a mini-itx board, one 2.5 harddrive.
The DD rom is under the case, it's laptop dvd drive.

tell me if you want me to send you the sketchup file.

    Something like this?

you can have the file and make your own window, you don't have to get special tools for making this....just order from a local shop or something, they an cut it out for you.

You should stick a printer in the Apple mini one and have the paper exit to the wifi ants. Also, how are you supposed to type on that keyboard on the first one? So few buttons..
