Get some rounded IDE cables from ebuyer. They are like £2 a piece, and they will CONSIDERABLE help airflow and neatness! Bloomin nice tho. Great layout, and nice upgradeability!
Hey, that's really cool, how long did that take you, wow i'm starting to sound like a noob on these fourms.
Sorry dom_, i post here cause in the other forums i don´t see case mods... and Deep-Blue, the rounded IDE cables are useless for this mod... i need slim cables, not rounded, to be able to close de case... and no matter for the airflow... with fans with low power and idle, the temperatures are 45ºc processor and 35ºc chipset, and whith full power, 38ºc & 32ºc.
Hola kemamikro, soy de Málaga y estoy interesado en tu mod, me puedes mandar un correo? tengo varias preguntas... mi mail es: pro_dg2k@hotmail.com Gracias
Update: I took off my 'home-made' cooler, and install the new one (copper base and aluminum), and invert the window fan... i got a lower temperature and noise (cpu 36º at low power fan and idle), salu2.
very nice mod, although i must say something needs to be done with that bottom CD-ROM drive. kinda ruins the look. but nonetheless, very nice mod. PS noticed that 16-bit ISA sound card, thats about 3 feet long . also noticed the custom protection so you could angle it downward. very nice
Rly cable cleaning would be nice but if you cant cuase of room of well. That is amazing how cramped things and you still get good temps but then again you dont have a p4 overclocked in there so hey. How you get that isa card like that. Is it just shifted over by the cdrom drive. ANother suggestion would have been to get slim drives but it would be hard now casue you have alrdy cut the case for the 2 roms you have now.
He, he, he... my loved Sound Blaster 16 ASP ISA , knowed as "The Sword", the home-made protection is for covering the conections of two ide ports thas i had to cut off... and the cd-roms ... well, i was testing the better look... and now, i think i'll paint the the button and the disc-front in black, salu2. PS: i hate slim drives PS': one of the 128mb sdram modules has dead... memtest86 = 1177 errors
Can you please give us details about the home made copper cooler. And piccy's. Did u see it done on the net some where. Ive seen it some where, but cant for the life of me remember where. And nicemod btw.
Hi Who_me_33!, the new copper-base cooler is NOT home-made, the OLD cooler is 'home-mount', the NEW cooler i get from an 'App Informatica' shop... as you can see in the pic, salu2.
