FTO's are strange, they look better than they move... Nice cars, just top model is the only decent thing to move in.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider having one of the lower models. No good having a car that looks great whilst being overtaken by old grannies!! The 2.0 v6 Muvec is the one to go for, 0-60 in 7.3 and responsive handling, but if that's group 18 I probably won't be able to get reasonable insurance :(

I'd say a Volvo T5 saloon tbh mate fast, very safe and don't look too terrible either. You might even be able to pick up a T5-R Estate (very nice lookers indeed, plus it's an estate, very practical :D)

Practical is not on my list of wants :p I'm 26 with a small house and no kids (planned or otherwise!) and my dad has an Espace if I need practical :D

The T5 saloon is kinda tempting though, I have vaguely been considering *fast* saloon cars too, the Saabasaurus 9000 Turbo would certainly provide luxury along with the speed ;)

Volvo 850r (in black with anthracite alloys)
Ford Mondeo saloon (v6, 4x4, very nice tuning options)
    Saab 9000 Turbo
Vauxhall Carlton 3000GSi (spend £1500 on the car, £3k on tuning the bollocks off it and the rest on insurance)
Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth (much nicer than the hatchback)
Ford Sierra XR4x4 with 4 litre V6 and twin turbos (omfg) - absolute killer sleeper car.

Let me know if you're after something rare/fast/with unassuming looks.

There are so many VERY good cars you could have instead of a generic jap import like thousands of other people.

Only one that really attracts me out of them is the Saab 9000 for luxury aspects :D The mondeo and Sierra's don't give out a good impression imo, usually owned by the few barry boys that make it past 30 round here :D The jap imports have a lot more to offer imo as far as the full package goes :)
Comfort, gadgets, looks etc as well as the performance straight out. As said I'm not a mechanic, I don't want to do anything to the car other than get in and drive!

My apologies - I should have typed 'v6 or 4x4, both with very nice tuning options'

So they're common, boring to look at and unassuming...who cares when with a couple of grand put into them, they can blow away Imprezas and Evos?

    :p

hehe yeah, and you're insurance will blow away anything too :p I don't have the technical know-how or the money to heavily modify anything so I'm stuck with whatever I get out the box :D

Will be getting a full AA report done on what ever car I go for so hopefully should pick up on things like that :)

Insurance quote for the turbo TPFT was £399 :eeek:

Your rite it is esentialy a mx6 with a diferent shell. But I have heard that the 626 uses the same block. I may be wrong tho.

What does a Chav actualy mean? Is it like a ricer in the US? Usualy a vandal with a crappy japanese import and has a huge mufler and wing and cant usualy drive and also thinks his machine is the fastest thing on the road but isnt?

Kind of yeah, although they are more closely linked to small cars like Nova's and ford escorts here, usually with ridiculosly badly fitted body kits, a 1.6 engine and they STILL think they are the fastest thing on the road! Sort of people that would happily mug an old granny to pay for their next hit of whatever dirty drug they use :) Nothing wrong with Japanese imports :p but if they fit the description you made then they could also be classed as a chav :D

I'd recomend the MR2 turbo, a mate just got one and Ohh Baby.

I plan on changing my MR2 N/A for a Turbo in the coming months.
