Ya sorry about that. I kept trying to go back and get ride of some of them, but i was at work and my boss came up and was like "where is my report" so I kinda just left it. *fixed*

But going back to the cables. Rounded ide cables have been accused of corrupting data because of crosstalk. Newer cables have the pairs (data/ground) twisted to reduce this. But Joungne doesn't. They just stack on eachother. I would just hate for this incredible awesome mod to end up being a computer that always has corrupted data.

I've spent a few days reading this thread very carefully and want to congratulate you on your planning and skills.
I think that the mod would of been rounded off if you could of made the pannels yourself...but not everyone has a lazer cutting machine ;)

All that white looks kinda angelic or it looks like it could even be Anti-Borg ;)

Offtopic:Ermm... I have to ask one thing about the IDE-cables,
how in the hell could rounded cables be accused for destroying
data, the cables are the same and the current are the same,
it´s not possible unless you have verry thin cables which
disturbs eachother, using dma cables he will be fine.

normal rounded cables are twisted like all big cabling. his cables are cut into pieces which lay on top of each other, thus the wires are closer. do you ever get static in your car? think about it.

Wrong, Apple doesn't make 3 buttons on their mice. :duh:

    Correct Mouse
With some paint, it's the same product.

    Nope.

    BAck home

    Hi Guys,

Just spend 15 hours on taxis, trams, airplanes and taxis again to get home... I'm suffering a bit of jetlag, but I couldnt resist to look at the boards :)

    Well, answering a few questions.

About the cable, You shouldnt worry because I allready changed the DMA cable to an UDMA (so 40 ground wires) and now its just like any ordinary round cable.

About the mouse. Its no Apple, its no Kensington and neither the mouse on Xoixide. I found it at a local computerfair. And the only thing that I Know about it is the name that was on the package "CRYSTAL" Strange thing is (many people allready asked me about it) if I try to find it on the internet, I dont seem to find it anywhere. But next week its again the computerfair and maybe they will have some more. If people are interested I can always look for them and send them over. I paid 22€ for the mouse. So inside Europe I think its possible to send it over for a fair price.

Well that about wraps it up. Think I'm gonna start modding again tomorrow. I found me a nice thing in NY which I'm gonna use with the cube (It still needs to be modded to ofcourse :)

    greetz,

    Joungne

really cool mod, but why did you buy a Athlon 3200+ and 2x512MB when you just use the on board vga? In my mind this doesn't make sense...

You can't play games on this system because of the lame on board graphic card...
And for nothing other you need such high end hardware
    :eyebrow: ;)
