Excellent, another guitar thread - I have changes! Guitar: Ibanez RG470, Metallic Navy Rig: Peavey 5150 v1 Marshall 4x12 Cab Bass: (being delivered) Fender Mark Hoppus Custom, Surf Green Crappy practise amp (I almost always DI into the PA live and if that's not possible I have hookups for bass amps all over the place ) Used to play guitar exclusively, but got asked to join a band as bassist/vocalist so jumped across, went pretty smoothly, this was a while back and now I love bass, it's really cool cuz it's very expressive but not as draining as guitar in terms of energy and exposure live. AH
I played drums for about 15 - 16 years, does that count? I had a 12-piece Pearl Prestige kit with a mix of Pearl and Gebralter stands and a mix of Zildjian A's and Z's all around. God I miss it :\ 10", 12", 13", 14", 16", 18" toms (2) 22"x16" bass drums 14"x8" brass snare 14" Timbale 8" and 10" Roto-Toms 14" Z hats 17" & 18" heavy Z crashes 17" medium A crash 17" A crash/ride 21" heavy Z ride 10" A splash Sold it after I got married. Was divorced 6-years later with no drums :\ Moral of the story: DON'T SELL YOUR GEAR WHEN YOU GET MARRIED!! If I can find an old picture, I'll post it.

penski that sounds entirely like greek to me. so is that a link to a foot pedal? or.............what. what's this 'box'
Its and electro-harmoix big muff, my mates got one and tbf I think its pretty whack, gives out a really deep bassy distortion which isn't really my style, but looks cool and comes in a straw filled box Heh theres not much control over the distortion really, just volume tone and sustain, the sustain it gives kicks ass though... - M@
Run a bass through a Big Muff Pi into a nice big valve amp and 4x15 cab and you have the best distorted bass sound imagineable... The Big Muff and variants (Superfuzz Big Muff, Big Muff Pi et cetera) are probably my favourite all-time-classic distortion stompboxes. *n
Tsk.... Ibanez tubescreamer tbh... (THE) http://www.harmony-central.com/Effects/Data/Ibanez/TS_9_Tube_Screamer-01.html - M@
I don't like the Tubescreamer personally...It sounds rather too clinical and clean for me... Viva Big Muff Pi! *n
Im the proud owner of an ESP H-207 (7 string!) & a USA Jackson Surfcaster I may have just got another H-207 7 string as well Just waiting to hear back! Heres my babies, both love being put through my 3 valve 9100 series preamp
K - Two questions: 1. Why does your bass have a price tag on the tuning 2. Why does your bass have 11 strings. I have seen 12 strings (Cheap Trick) but never 11.
1. I was testing it out... Yep. That's me. 2. Yes you can also get 15 and 18 string basses. But these kinds aren't as radical because they're strung like 4 x 4 and 6 x 3 etc. That's just not as cool! http://www.12stringbass.net/custom15.htm
Thanks for the link. My wife is a huge bass fan and thinks Tom Peterson is the s**t when it comes to bass (not shared by me). She is just starting to play. Do you have any links to some of your music? I'm sure she would be interested.
that's not K. quit it. that guy hasnt got enough lip piercings, and he hasnt even got a band t-shirt on... how could you think that could ever be K?! AH
I've been trying to learn on and off for about 3 years (self taught) can't really play much yet (the intros to a few of the easier metallica songs, nothing too difficult). I've got: Guitar: Tanglewood Tomcat 2 Amp: Fender POD: Version 2.0
My first electric guitar next to my DIY 1W amp. It's an Ibanez GAX30 Cheap and nothing special , I know, but I like it.
