Man I love that keyboard. :thumb:

I can't wait to see it in person at the next LAN. It looks very cool. I think the block mouse would be cool too. Just have three buttons on it though. Big blocks of wood on the side of your head might look too wierd, Unless you were wearing clog shoes of course.

    Part 12: Lil' rodents......

I got the mouse done! This was probably one of the more fustrating parts I have done. First I tried to make a completly wooden shell using a miter saw, dremel, and a router:
    [IMG] [IMG]

I did six of these bad boys before I finally got one that didn't break while using the router!
    [IMG] [IMG]

After I finally got it looking the way I wanted it to, I tried putting the circuit board from the mouse in, but the wooden shell was not tall enough. :wallbash: Also I realized that I would have to use at least part of the base to have a mount for the mouse wheel. I decided then that I would simply build a wooden top for the mouse instead. So breaking out the miter saw and dremel, I got back to work:

Next I gave it some shape:

By the time i was through, I had sawdust everywhere. Next i put it together and tested that it would still work. I kept trying to click the buttons even though there was nothing to push! :hehe:

Next stage was to stain it and get the buttons in place. I used hotglue to hold them in place. On the other end of the button, I built the hotglue up in layers to reach the buttons on the MB of the mouse. The LED was changed from red to green also:

    The finished product:

    Hi-res of the last shot.

    Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I actually looked at making a storage for the mouse and pad, but I dont have any more room! :hehe: I also would be scared of messing up that side panel. Would not be fun replacing it.
