I was just wondering do you guys have help when ur modding or do you do it all by yourself. I have my dad help me out a lot. I mean he has more patients than i do so i get really frustrated and he stays calm. I was just wondering who helps u out?
Depends on what you do it ZzZaKkK. Umm nobody really unless you can classify my dad letting me use his tools help.
i usually get my dad to do the manual labur stuff so that if it goes wrong i can see he messed it up and ask for a replacement
yeah my dad and his friend at worked helped me out alot and pcmods.com installed my window for me if that counts
No one helped me with my mods, but thats probably due to the fact that so far they consist of taping my network cable to the leg of my desk so i dont inadvertantly pull it out of the hub!
Well I suppose you guys have been the big help for me modding. Despite this project not technically being my first project, it is the first where I'm doing anything I consider serious modding (I'm not an electronics guy and this is the first project that involves things like soldering and buying components from Farnell) and not just messing around with power tools. First time I played around with the tools and a PC was probably back at high school so I expect my dad gave me a hand with it (too long ago, I don't even remember what I did)
No one. I don't trust my dad after he nearly slit my wrist after reaching and grabbing a cut piece of wood while the table saw was spinning.
No one helped me, because I haven't been able to attempt anything yet. Boy, your signature fits that post like a glove
hmmmm , my dad help me to find places to cut those window hole , automotive paint and stuffs ... he know's alot of those stuffs that i wanted .. just asked him and he show me the way ..
My roommate gave me some pointers. He's an EE and has done a lot of electronics stuff before, so he input was welcome..... guy can solder faster then anyone I know.
You guys have helped me out tremendously. I've started doing some modding tonight (simply painting faceplates black to match my case). Gotten lots of good ideas from all of ya'all. I have an ambitious window project coming up, but considering I've never done a window before, I'm going to have to practice on my Dad's PC. Happy father's day, dad!
I'd say that guides scattered throughout the internet were the main sources of information for me. Tips, techniques, advice. They have it all.
