Well heres my mouse i modded this afternoon. its a Kengington one. My gaming mouse. The LEDs Switch From BLue Green Red in diffrent Orders. One Minor/serious problem... I broke a Capasitator..because the fan wouldnt fit, so now i lost tracking in the mouse.. Is this a Easy Fix? This is my first mouse mod.

This shouldn't be too hard to fix.

Hopefully you have the broken capacitor still :) . I'm assuming it's an electrolytic capacitor (Looks like a mini coke can).

You will probably need to buy another one which wont cost much at all.
Then it's just a matter of soldering it back in and hopefully it will work again.
Make sure you solder it in the correct way. This might be marked on the circuit board.

To prevent it from breaking again it might be a good idea to attach some wires where the capacitor used to be so that you can mount it somewhere else in the mouse.

    Hope this helps

PS: If I could see a pic of the broken Capacitor &/Or the circuit board I might be able to give some more specific advise.

how did you install that fan?

I wanted to switch out the fan that was in my mouse (its one of those crappy fan based mouses but the pre made fan is slow and weak)

Where did you get a small enough fan , and is it powerful enough to run it?

    More details man, DETAILS 0_o

I'm sure an old video card fan should fit.
