yea i think i have been bumped on another forum (hoping she will come back), unfortunatly she had more posts than me and had sold before so had previous ratings, almost like she had set up some simple trades before taking more without completing the sales(but taking the money). Yet she hadn't been a member that long wheres as i have been a member for a while. I think any ebay ratings should be noted in signatures aswell to help prove trust. Just takes me a while to get the posts, i only post if i think what im saying isnt crap, don't want to look stupid.
proberly not a good idea to mention anyones name *cough*dingo* thats proberly why this thread came about lol
This hasn't gone ahead yet due to permission problems with avatar usergroups mucking things up 'til i have time to sort them
well now you can doesnt stop you from partaking in the rest of forum activity instead of just abusing our trading forums
Hi, Whilst i understand the reason behind - its people like me that now get the shaft. I've been regg'd quite a while, bought quite a lot from these forums, been ripped off once - but I dont powerpost anywhere. I read the occassional project and other forums, but Im more of a lurker than a poster. Im currently going through with a £560 sale with another user Leo - which this will no doubt cause me some problems. Ive got a decent amount of posts, I dont spam, I dont cause trouble. Is there any chance I could get one of the 'exception rules' applied to me? I really dont fancy spamming 30+ posts of crap all over the bt forums (which i think a lot of people may do) just to reach enough total to view the for sale forums. I also would hope that you dont want 30+ posts of crap spammed either! Thanks for reading
If you cant still get Leo over PM or email then ill reopen the thread for you. You were given a week, but unfortunatly we do things for the greater good as im afraid you're just 1 person out of 16,500 members. Its nothing personal.
Just as another side note i have noticed on another forum (i can't remember which one) that they have a sticky at the top of the page with a list of honest and good people who have traded on the boards and every time you feel a seller has been good you ask for him/her to be added. Not quite sure if this defeats bit-techs motto of non involvement but i think its a neat idea and definatly one that should be considered.
that`ll be this forum: http://discuss.futuremark.com/forum/postlist.pl?Cat=&Board=miscclassifieds and yes im harlequin on there as well. a good idea BT admins/mods - i`ll nick the idea and suggest it to the small community at FM (100,000+ at last count) over there the problem is spamming - n00bs sign up and spam useless for sale threads , it started off in classifieds , but is now moving to other forum sections (which is damn annoying) a question - willthe sale threads be made private for viewing? meaning that part of the forum is locked untill you hit the requirements?
