car batteries recharge while you drive i think...because if you leave your lights on to the point where your car won't start, then get a jump, then drive around for a while, you can start your car again without problems.
oh yeah, and Mp3car.com has quite a bit of info along with pages of people's mp3 cars...you could check that out, and even email some of the people that have the mp3 cars

MO LCD with a keypad attached would work (and using LCDC) The computer *shouldn't* run down the battery, *if* we could get it to shutdown when you turn off your car (alternatively, you just turn it off from the MO keypad or whatever.
A friend of mine runs one of his PCs off such an inverter regularily. The battery of his car (small Honda 4x4) lasts for +2 hours while he is NOT driving around and powers PC, flat screen and printer - talk of a mobile office ) the only thing to remember ist the inverter gets very hot, so if you're gonna run this for hours you'd also be better off thinking up decent cooling for that.

right a few qwestions. car is goin in TOYOTA YARIS 1.0 vvti setup 300watt inverter p200 mobo 128 meg dimm 2 gig atm - broke 6 gig isa - generic sound card - gd enuf ?! a 250 atx psu ....thats it RIGHTY how am i gonn connect this to the speakers do i need an amp ?! - where wil the speaker wires be in teh car ?!!? ahhhhhhhh ive made a 3.5 mil to *nothing atm* lead. what head unit do you have in there now? if its a tape deck/tuner,you could just buy a 3.5mm to tape adaptor , should work wonderfully.
